A heart at peace gives life to the body ,but envy rots the bones
proverb 14-30
Why does it often seem that there is one kid who gets everything?,star athlete ,lead in the plays, good grades ,teachers's favorite ......and on top of it all a nice kid !, Envy is a difficult emotion to get a handle on and yes, it takes a very pure heart to celebrate a friend's success without envy .That's especially hard when the success is in an area that your child desires to succeed in -but doesnt .How do you help your children learn to sincerely celebrate a friend's success without struggling through envy ?,lets be honest ,sometimes it is a life long learning curve
One place to start is with the reminder that God makes each of us unique. He has a plan for each person's life and will work out that plan in His own timeframe .When a friend succeeds at something it means God is working ,so celebrate !,And ....know your turn will come .....God's time
When your child and you understand this ,it is a little easier to skip the envy ,Trust God's plan
It is the character of every few men to honor without envy a friend who has prospered
