Once you feign affection, you ought to feign it for the rest of your life. For example, you pretended you loved someone just to fill a gap in your heart. You got entangled in a knot and you can’t go away with it. You go on doing what you always did. Then one day, you find yourself weary of pretention.
You shouldn’t have done it in the first place. You should be true to yourself. See? See what you put yourself through? See? See what you did unto yourself?
Then it would now be hard to let go. Because a lot is at stake. Your future, the children’s future, your in-laws and so many more. So much more at stake than you imagined.
You then take a look back at your life and see how you have messed up. Once you decide to break away from what you have started, tendency is the breaking of many more hearts. Could you bear it? No?
If only you didn’t feign affection in the very first place, then you shouldn’t be in this state. How blissful your life before. Now no more. Next time you should know.
There are many more reasons why you shouldn’t feign affection. You’ll be incurring lots of debts, in kind or in cash. Whatever. You will be in trouble.
The best is honesty. As they say, “honesty is the best policy.”
But once you aren’t as honest as you should be, you will be in a lot of trouble. One form of dishonesty is feigning affection. Try as much as possible to be true to yourself. To be gentle with yourself. Listen to reputable people’s advices. You can do better than your dishonesty.
If you happen not to be in this situation yet, of entangled dark fate, then you shouldn’t try to be in it at all. Look for someone who makes your heart thump or do not look at all. You aren’t required to commit yourself to anyone who isn’t to your liking. You should love yourself before loving others.
Now that you know, you should try then to live life as creatively as possible. If you feel empty, then there are so many chores out there. All you need to do is to condition yourself.
