MATARIFE: an unnameable genocide - Season 1 Chapter 2 "Death Corporation"

2 5

Where does the milk we drink in the morning come from?

Well, it comes from the cow - which has eaten enough grass and drunk enough water, which has not been stressed as much by being locked up in agricultural jails or corrals, as we call them - which is milked by the peasant - who receives some payment for their daily work , who has three children to feed and a past not to forget - and who sells (one thing or all of the above) to the merchant - who needs to earn enough profit and profitability to endure I don't know what things.

Or, not to go that far, it comes from the store, where it was bought.

Where does the money with which we buy milk in the store come from?

Well, from the pulp of the felled tree, or from the cotton or linen fiber collected to be transformed into paper and this converted into banknotes that - after various technical, technological, political and economic procedures - resulting in a value determined by factors that, moment of rest, are not easily understood.

Or, again, not to think so much, comes from the work done in exchange for which it has been delivered, a payment title.

And so on, we can unravel our reality. Deconstructing - as they say an author out there (a certain Foucault) says - about the fact that everything around us is an analyzable construct, in order to really get closer to the point of understanding, knowing, experiencing.

Something like this is what Daniel Mendoza Leal continues to do, with the series Matarife: An unmentionable genocide.

Here is the second chapter of the first season:

The Truth be told.
