The false patriotism !
No matter how is the system we live in, we usually love our countries and most of us are patriots.
Patriotism can be toward a country or maybe even toward an ideology. We kind of live in that world we built for ourselves and do everything to not break the picture w have about it. If what we are sure about is wrong or bad, in this case patriotism is bad. It can turn easily to fanaticism. That's why we shouldn't have an idol, but look for the big picture from all the sources we have. Because even the worse source can give a little of the truth. And even those who are giving a lot of truth, they can easily mix that with a bit of lie. That's why we have to be always careful of what we consume. There is a great saying in Russian, that means : ''Trust but check.''
And there are forces who know how to turn patriotism to fanaticism. They can do that by manipulating the information. And propaganda is sometimes made not only by direct appeal, but it could be done by controlled opposition. So, be careful even from those who shout out loud about the rights, freedom and truth. Not all of them do that, honestly. Everyone could be in doubt. And if you feel not trusting even me, so your thinking is very healthy. I'm sure that I write this with my own hands, but what if my account will be hacked, or an account of anyone who is spreading so much truth. The information could be manipulated and presented in the way that benefit those who are doing that.
Maybe I'm getting away from the main topic, but I'm sure that's all related. The real patriotism for me, is the one related to the mother earth. And to the love of humanity. Maybe those are very loud words, but I think that earth and humanity are the most important to take care about when governments are involved and when it's about people who can make the change. Because if we will not have clean earth to live in and healthy humanity who build things for the better future of generations, we can't assure a good life on earth. No matter how controlled people will be, the world will never get better. I see that the more control there is, the more destruction is created. But it seems that those who are working on better control, don't care that much about the destruction it brings.
Maybe the word ''patriotism'' itself is not good at all. Because it looks more like ''nationalism'' and here we see the worship of certain territory, but not all the earth, certain group of people, but not all humanity.
A new system should be created. Countries with no borders, people with no nationality. Our country is earth, our nationality is humans.
cuando hablas de manipular la información y la propaganda y controlar a l,os opositores pareces que estas hablando del sistema politice venezolano, el patriotismo es un sentimiento por el país así como podemos observar en Ucrania donde esta un pueblo defendiendo su país con su propia vida, pero hay quienes usan el patriotismo para lograr sus ambiciones políticas, saludos.
