Weekends are always so short, someone should intervene and do something about it, block the time that strangely seems to pass at double the speed. I leave behind a very intense weekend spent as always between friends, family and good food, the perfect triad. This weekend was particularly beautiful and intense because my nephew Mattia is spending the holidays with us, he who lives almost 1000 km away and who every year invariably wants to spend the holidays with us and so my brother and his wife always satisfy him.
Mattia is 8 years old and the typical liveliness of kids of this age, on Saturday we spent the day in the company of friends who have a child of his own and between the swimming pool, music, treasure hunt, table games and some football games, they spent a really super day! It's really nice to see the kids playing and having fun, I had some flashbacks of my adolescence and sometimes I would like to have that carefree air of someone who just wants to play and have fun! But time flies, as mentioned from the beginning and there is a time for all things.
Saturday was really pleasant, the convenience of having friends with a villa and pool is undoubted, especially if I think of the chaos on the beaches in this period! Once I loved crowded beaches, they were synonymous with life and fun for me but today it is clear that I have an opposite point of view. Nothing is more beautiful than a deckchair, the silence of nature and the sun that seems to be there just for you!
August is a period of vacation and return to the city for many friends who are forced to live hundreds of km away from their native city for work reasons. We spent Sunday together with a couple of friends who live in Milan and returned to Puglia to spend a little time with their family and organize their wedding which will be on October 28th, the date is not very far away and the preparations are a lot. My wife and I will also be the witnesses of the bridegroom and of the bride, an important role because in addition to being witnesses of their union before God and the law, we are helping them with the preparations, providing them with all the necessary support.
We organized an aperitif with other friends and spent a pleasant evening in a very quiet, open-air pub, enjoying the ideal temperature for an evening with friends between cocktails and good food. The space was also ideal for children who were able to run and chase each other without any danger of cars, being the structure equipped with a fence of flower beds.
The evening ended with a splendid full moon, difficult to photograph due to the technical limitations of the smartphone. It was there high up in the sky, bright and clear as ever, and its light was truly a beacon in the night. The craters on its surface are clearly visible. I recently read that the moon moves away from the Earth by 3.5 cm per year, it seems nonsense but in a few millennia who knows where it will be! But it does not matter to us, unfortunately we will not be able to know!
