The time loop of a young black man killed by a white policeman in New York every day for a hundred days is a loop in the history of mankind. A circle of hell, a stain, a shame. There shouldn't be a need to shout out Black Lives Matter, all lives should count regardless.

But racism is a disorder, a disease, a deficiency dictated by ignorance. Ignorance of the other, fueled by prejudice and lies. Could the dialogue, the meeting, the rapprochement and the closeness of two distant foreigners be the solution? Could knowledge be the cure? They could if everyone were able to enter into the perspective of ideas that white skin is not the hallmark of a privilege as dark skin is not of a fault. But to get there, one would need to be able to think beyond the visible and go beyond appearances.

But, alas, opening up to knowledge is too big a step for those who do not see (the) other than themselves. In this case, the only black that should be eliminated is that of the darkness of ignorance that makes us blind and distant.

'Too late for tears' plays the opening track

'Say their names. Remember their names' is the final warning.

Too late to cry, it is knowledge (of others) that saves, only those who want to be saved. And here is the executioner who should be saved from the darkness of obscene, sinister and uncivilized ignorance. Who, too focused on being white, has forgotten that he is human. Universally, civilly, respectfully. Prejudice makes you step back and exclusivism is the sworn enemy of evolution.

Two distant strangers says it all in less than thirty minutes. Incisive, bitter, tremendously current, disconcerting, true. To be ashamed of being white, because, yes, being on the wrong side of the fence white skin is a fault.

Important dialogues, remarkable photography.

'Too late for tears' suona la traccia iniziale

'Say their names. Remember their names' è il monito finale.

Dialoghi importanti, fotografia notevole.
