Many of us who have followed PALnet from the beginning, about a couple of years ago, and have accumulated the PAL token, have recently wondered, myself included, what was really about the project, now wrapped in total silence and I myself had lost hope that anything would actually change. In the meantime, I have accumulated tokens both by posting and inserting the #palnet tag and a good part of it I received through last year's airdrop, designed for PAL holders who have not sold and have blocked in staking
A few days ago an announcement finally announced that something is changing, that the engines have started and we are looking forward to further announcements. The post explains that there will soon be a Dapp that will use the PAL token and that will incentivize the holders of the token, receiving additional incentives to retain PAL and foster the HIVE ecosystem. Furthermore, inflation will be reduced by 75% and higher prizes will be reserved for miners and token holders. A new White Paper will illustrate a new roadmap, the path the project intends to take.
This announcement created a bit of hype and the focus shifted to buying PAL. As you can see on Leodex, after the announcement of @minnowsupport the value of the token has definitely increased, reaching peaks of 0.17 HIVE. Just before the announcement, the value was around 0.02 / 0.03 Hive, an increase of over 500% in just a few days.
The price of PALMM miners also saw a substantial increase reaching a value of 100 HIVE from a price of around 20 HIVE in early January.
We do not yet know the details of what awaits PALnet but it is hoped that in another piece of HIVE it can take off, as happened with Leofinance, among the oldest and most active tribes of Hive. PALnet is a community where you can talk about any topic, no technical knowledge is required for certain topics, the important thing is to discuss pleasant topics with the community. The Discord channel is very active and if you are not yet registered here is the link to always be aware of all the details and to talk to the other members of the community.
A dedicated front-end is currently excluded in the announcement, initially it was part of the project, relying rather on the excellent @peakd and preferring to focus on Dapps and nine strategies to try to provide value and an identity to the project. I am very curious to read the WP to get more information on the path the team will want to take. @aggroed has a lot of projects he is working on at the same time and I hope he has come up with something unique for PALnet and Hive, which is becoming a container of wonders day by day. The Hive ecosystem is developing in an extremely favorable context for the project, given the situation that is increasingly degenerating between social media and stock markets.
In the next few months there will be a really big bing bang and everything will be reshuffled with new rules and everyone will find they need decentralization and Hive will finally be able to open its doors to the world!
