Dion is a new TV series that tells the story of a young black child who lives with his mother Nicole and who suddenly discovers that the young Dion has kinetic powers with which he can move objects, to make them float in the air, but also to cut down the trees in the forest or extract all the fish from the lake.
I have seen all 9 episodes of the show without ever getting bored or finding any kind of scene superfluous. Having special powers and not knowing how to manage them can destroy the people who love us and the TV series focuses a lot on this aspect. A 7-year-old boy does not have the maturity to handle such powers and his mother Nicole, widow of her husband Mark, discovers new details on the studies that her husband and a group of scientists were conducting, just before she died.
I really like photography and scenography, the images are well balanced and even the special effects are calibrated, there is no waste of power like in the best Marvel or DC movies. The high picture quality certainly makes watching episodes on a 4K UHD TV very enjoyable. Very good audio quality if you use a normal TV, certainly improved if you use a more suitable audio system such as a Home Theater or a simple double speaker + subwoofer. It also deals with the thematic series of racism that a small child has to deal with, being unaware of what it is and unfortunately the bullying to which many children and young people are subjected when they enter new environments and are seen as weak by the pack.
I did not expect to find such a profound series, as the superhero theme is now more and more on the agenda and, special effects aside, are increasingly empty of content. Dion instead is preparing to be a TV series that differs from the genre and for this reason it certainly deserves to be seen.

Dion è una nuova serie TV che narra le vicende di un giovane bambino di colore che vive con la madre Nicole e che scoprono all'improvviso che il giovane Dion ha dei poteri cinetici con il quale riesce a spostare gli oggetti, a farli fluttuare nell'aria, ma anche ad abbattere gli alberi della foresta o estrarre tutti i pesce del lago.
Ho visto tutti i 9 episodi del telefilm senza mai annoiarmi o trovare superfluo qualsiasi tipo di scena. Aver poteri speciali e non saperli come gestire possono distruggere le persone che ci vogliono bene e la serie TV si concentra molto su questo aspetto. Un bambino di 7 anni non ha la maturità di gestire poteri del genere e la madre Nicole, vedova del marito Mark, scopre nuovi dettagli sugli studi che il marito ed un gruppo di scienziati stavano conducendo, poco prima che morisse.
Mi piace molto la fotografia e la scenografia, le immagini sono ben equilibrate ed anche gli effetti speciali sono calibrati, non vi è uno sperpero di poteri come nei migliori film Marvel o DC. L'alta qualità delle immagini rende sicuramente molto piacevole la visione degli episodi su un TV 4K UHD. Qualità audio molto buona se si usano una normale TV, sicuramente migliorata se si utilizza un impianto audio più adatto come un Home Theater oppure un sempplice doppia cassa+subwoofer. Inoltre si affronta la serie tematica del razzismo con cui un piccolo bambino deve confrontarsi, essendo ignaro di cosa esso sia e purtroppo il bullismo a cui molti bambini e giovani sono sottoposti quando entrano in nuovi ambienti e sono visti come deboli da parte del branco.
Non mi aspettavo di trovare una serie così profonda, essendo appunto il tema del supereroe oramai sempre più all'ordine del giorno ed, effetti speciali a parte, sono sempre più vuoti di contenuti. Dion invece si appresta ad essere una serie TV che si differenza dal genere e per questo merita sicuramente di essere visto.
