Scrolling through the list of films on Netflix, I found a film that I have never seen, Giochi di Potere, with Harrison Ford as the protagonist, produced in 1992. Very beautiful and intense film that I would like to talk about today.
Plot
Jack Ryan is a retired former CIA agent and during a vacation with his family witnesses a terrorist attack on Irish Secretary of State Lord William Holmes, and instinctively helps to thwart the murder of the Irish Lord, killing the terrorist Patrick Miller, brother of Sean, the attacker arrested during the assault.
Sentenced by the court, Sean is transported to prison but on the way his companions attack the van in which he travels and free him, killing the agents present. Sean and his friends flee to Asia to train and prepare for a new attempted murder of Lord William Holmes but his anger towards Ryan blinds him.
So he decides to go to the USA and causes a traffic accident for his family, seriously endangering the life of the family of the former CIA agent. Ryan, determined to take revenge, returns to being a CIA agent and begins to investigate Miller 's escape and discovers his presence in an arms camp in Libya. A select American department destroys the military camp but Miller has not yet been identified.
The terrorist, together with a group of fighters, arrived again in the USA, taking advantage of the meeting between Lord William Holmes and Ryan's family at the home of the CIA agent. Just before the attack, Jack senses the imminent danger and manages to neutralize the terrorists, thanks to the help of the soldier Robby Jackson, present at the ceremony.
Considerations
The film is very beautiful, exciting and with some moments of high tension. The interpretation of Harrison Ford is at the top, assisted by actors of the caliber of Sean Bean in the guise of terrorist Sean Miller and mentions the presence of Samuel L. Jackson, although in the marginal role of the soldier Robby Jackson. An action movie like in the old days, without mega explosions or acrobatic jumps. Pure action and adrenaline. A film recommended for watching adults.

Scorrendo la lista di film presenti su Netflix, mi è apparso un film che non ho mai visto, Giochi di Potere, con Harrison Ford come protagonista, prodotto nel 1992. Film molto bello ed intenso di cui vorrei parlarvi oggi.
Trama
Jack Ryan è un ex agente della CIA in pensione e durante un periodo di vacanza con la sua famiglia assiste ad un attacco terroristico nei confronti del segretario di Stato irlandese Lord William Holmes, ed istintivamente contribuisce a sventare l'omicidio del Lord irlandese, uccidendo il terrorista Patrick Miller, fratello di Sean, l'attentatore arrestato durante l'assalto.
Condannato dal tribunale, Sean è trasportato in prigione ma durante il tragitto i suoi compagni assaltano il furgone in cui viaggia e lo liberano, uccidendo gli agenti presenti. Sean ed i suoi amici fuggono in Asia per allenarsi e prepararsi ad un nuovo tentativo di omicidio di Lord William Holmes ma la sua rabbia nei confronti di Ryan lo accieca.
Decide cosi di recarsi negli USA e procura un incidente stradale alla sua famiglia, mettendo a serio rischio la vita della famiglia dell'ex agente della CIA. Ryan, deciso a vendicarsi, rientra ad essere un agente della CIA ed inizia ad indagare sulla fuga di Miller e scopre la sua presenza in un campo d'armi in Libia. Un reparto scelto americano distrugge il campo militare ma Miller non è stato ancora identificato.
Il terrorista, assieme ad un gruppo di combattenti, è giunto nuovamente in USA, approfittando dell'incontro tra Lord William Holmes e la famiglia di Ryan a casa dell'agente della CIA. Poco prima dell'assalto, Jack intuisce l'imminente pericolo e riesce a neutralizzare i terroristi, grazie all'aiuto del soldato Robby Jackson, presente alla cerimonia.
Considerazioni
Il film è molto bello, appassionante e con alcuni momenti di alta tensione. L'interpretazione di Harrison Ford è al top, assistito da attori del calibro di Sean Bean nelle vesti del terrorista Sean Miller e menziona la presenza di Samuel L. Jackson, sebbene nel ruolo marginale del soldato Robby Jackson. Un film d'azione come ai vecchi tempi, senza mega esplosioni o salti acrobatici. Pura azione e adrenalina. Un film consigliato alla visione di adulti.
