If you are a fan of Schwarzenegger and 80s-90s action films, well maybe this review will probably be superfluous because you will know this film in depth. I recently watched the TV movie on a national network which also shows 80s cult films every Monday.
I don't exaggerate if I admit I've seen it a hundred times in my life, and mine is an estimate by default. After Predator, Act of Force and Terminator, it is Arnold's favorite film.
The plot is very simple: John Matrix (Schwarzenegger) is a retired colonel and lives peacefully with his daughter in a house surrounded by nature. Assaulted by mercenaries, led by Bennett, a former comrade and military man, removed from John for misconduct, they kidnap his daughter for blackmail: to kill an influential foreign political figure to promote a coup.
Initially John agrees but takes advantage of the long flight by plane to knock out his companion and start the hunt for the robbers of his daughter, before the plane arrives at its destination.
Fistfights, machine guns, bazookas, explosions ... A mixture of phenomena in which Arnold Schwarzenegger combines in an excellent way. It is clear that if you are not a fan of this film, they will surely have a negative effect and you will change channels after 5 minutes.
Special effects reduced to the bone, the theme of the film is his muscles and it's always nice to see how he knocks out his opponents with little grace and a lot of strength.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was also a bodybuilder, having been a world champion in his discipline and a point of reference in the 60s and 70s, winning 5 times Mister Universe and 7 times Mister Olympia.
Arnold is an actor who needs no introduction and represents an icon in the filmography of American cinema.

Se siete amanti di Schwarzenegger e degli action film anni '80-'90, beh forse questa recensione probabilmente sarà superflua perché conoscerete a fondo questa pellicola. Di recente ho visto il film TV su una rete nazionale che tra l'altro ogni lunedì proietta film cult anni '80.
Non esagero se ammetto di averlo visto un centinaio di volte nella mia vita, e la mia è una stima per difetto. Dopo Predator, Atto di Forza e Terminator, è il film che prediligo di Arnold.
La trama è molto semplice: John Matrix (Schwarzenegger) è un colonnello in congedo e vive tranquillamente assieme a sua figlia in una casa in mezzo alla natura. Assalito da mercenari, capitanati da Bennett, un ex compagno e militare, allontanato da John per cattiva condotta, rapiscono sua figlia per un ricatto: uccidere un influente personaggio politico straniero per favorire un colpo di Stato.
Inizialmente John acconsente ma approfitta del lungo tragitto in aereo per mettere ko il suo accompagnatore ed iniziare la caccia ai rapinatori di sia figlia, prima che l'aereo arrivi a destinazione.
Scazzottate, mitragliate, bazooka, esplosioni... Una miscela di fenomeni in cui Arnold Schwarzenegger si coniuga in modo eccellente. È chiaro che se non siete fan di questo filone di film, sicuramente sortiranno un effetto negativo e cambierete canale dopo 5 minuti.
Effetti speciali ridotti all'osso, il tema del film sono i suoi muscoli ed è sempre bello vedere come mette ko i suoi avversari con poca grazia e molta forza.
Arnold Schwarzenegger è anche stato un culturista, essendo stato un campione mondiale nella sua disciplina ed un punto di riferimento negli anni '60 e '70, vincendo ben 5 volte mister Universo e 7 volte mister Olympia.
Arnold è un attore che non ha bisogno di presentazioni e rappresenta un icona nella filmografia del cinema americano.
