Cardano: Mission Africa

The Cardano network from 03/31/2021, starting from Epoch 257 is completely decentralized by the production of validation blocks, now fully validated by user pools and there is no longer the presence of IOHK nodes, and the parameter d=0 is now final. A process started on 29 July 2020 with the Hard Fork from Byron to Shelley and after 256 eras, about 8 months, the migration is perfectly successfully completed and now Cardano is among the few decentralized blockchains in the crypto world

It is an important goal that has taken a long time, more than estimated but finally a great goal has been achieved. The version of the new Daedalus Wallet has also been released to version 4 which includes, in addition to some aesthetic and speed-up improvements, also the possibility of seeing the native tokens created on Cardano and owned in your wallet. Mary's HF in fact allows to create tokens directly on the Cardano blockchain, without the need for a smart contract, thus further lowering the fees and increasing the speed and security of the entire system.

Charles Hoskinson has always argued that his passion for the blockchain stems from the desire to create a financial system that can enhance the inhabitants of extremely poor countries like Africa and it is here that Cardano is making deals with the public and private sectors, so that all inhabitants can have the custody of their savings and the advantages of making digital payments. Cardano's CEO considers Africa a gold mine for the blockchain ecosystem but companies prefer to invest in territories where there is already a solid infrastructure and a good knowledge of the subject.

Cardano has already opened some offices in Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya since 2015 and is in constant contact with governments, a delicate process often due to tensions within countries or to changes in governments. But, after a long work made of agreements, it seems that the first announcements will soon be made, as Hoskinson stated in one of his AMAs and this could mean a very important concrete step forward. To date, the blockchain, despite its potential, is pure speculation, concretely there is still too little and speculation is the only factor that indicates the value of a project and of the currency.

But things are about to change as far as Cardano is concerned. A concrete integration with government bodies would put into practice the real potential of the blockchain, collecting really very useful information in terms of feasibility and approach to the new technology.

Il network di Cardano dal 31/03/2021, a partire dall'Epoca 257 è completamente decentralizzato dalla produzione dei blocchi di convalida, adesso interamente validata dalle pools degli utenti e non vi è più la presenza dei nodi IOHK, ed il parametro d=0 è ora definitivo. Un processo iniziato il 29 luglio 2020 con l'Hard Fork da Byron a Shelley e dopo ben 256 epoche, circa 8 mesi, la migrazione è completata perfettamente con successo ed ora Cardano è tra le poche blockchain decentralizzata del mondo crypto

E' un traguardo importante che ha richiesto molto tempo, più di quanto stimato ma finalmente un grande obiettivo è stato raggiunto. E' stato rilasciato anche la versione del nuovo Wallet Daedalus alla versione 4 che include, oltre ad alcune migliorie lato estetico e di velocizzazione, anche la possibilità di vedere i token nativi creati su Cardano e posseduti nel proprio wallet. L'HF di Mary infatti permette di creare token direttamente sulla blockchain di Cardano, senza la necessità di uno smart contract, abbassando in questo modo ulteriormente le fees e aumentando la velocità e la sicurezza dell'intero sistema.

Charles Hoskinson ha da sempre sostenuto che la sua passione per la blockchain nasce dal desiderio di creare un sistema finanziario che possa valorizzare gli abitanti di paesi estremamente poveri come l'Africa ed è qui che Cardano sta stringendo accordi con il settore pubblico e privato, affinchè tutti gli abitanti possano avere la custodia dei propri risparmi e i vantaggi di effettuare pagamenti digitali. il CEO di Cardano considera l'Africa una miniera d'oro per l'ecosistema della blockchain ma le aziende preferiscono investire in territori dove sia già presente una solida infrastruttura ed una buona conoscenza dell'argomento.

Cardano già dal 2015 ha aperto alcuni uffici in Etiopia, Ghana, Libia ed è in continuo contatto con i governi, processo delicato a causa spesso delle tensioni all'interno dei paesi o ai cambi dei governi. Ma, dopo un lungo lavoro fatto di accordi, sembra che a breve ci saranno i primi annunci, come ha affermato Hoskinson in un suo AMA e questo potrà significare un concreto passo in avanti molto importante. Ad oggi la blockchain, nonostante il suo potenziale, è pura speculazione, di concreto vi è ancora troppo poco e la speculazione è l'unico fattore che indica il valore di un progetto e della moneta.

Ma le cose starebbero per cambiare per quanto riguarda Cardano. Una concreta integrazione con enti governativi metterebbe in pratica la reale potenzialità della blockchain, raccogliendo informazioni davvero molto utili in termini di fattibilità e approccio alla nuova tecnologia.

Ora l'era di Goguen prevede l'HF di Alonzo, aggiornamento che attiverà la funzione degli smart contacts sulla blockchain Cardano. Poi si passerà alle decentralizzazione della rete e della governance con gli ultimi aggiornamenti a Basho e Voltaire, oltre al miglioramento della scalabilità e altre migliorie.
