Visa-branded Bitcoin cards processed in the first half of 2021 more than R$ 5 billion of transactions worldwide. The company's expectation is that, with more partnerships with companies in the sector, more than 70 million businesses will soon accept cryptocurrencies.

Along with Mastercard, Visa is one of the main companies in the financial segment of magnetic and digital cards. In partnerships with banks, these companies now serve the cryptocurrency market.

For those who believe that Bitcoin should be used without intermediaries, these approaches are far from ideal. But for people already used to using cards, this medium can be more interesting.

Visa Bitcoin Cards have already processed more than BRL 5 billion in the first half of 2021

This Wednesday (5), Visa released a study on the use of cards associated with the cryptocurrency market around the world. As stated by the company, the use of this payment option grew in the first half of 2021.

According to Visa, there are already hundreds of billions of dollars in cryptocurrencies on these cards issued by the company. There are tens of millions of people interested in using their cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.

Looking to expand this use, Visa said it is already partnering with the top 50 cryptocurrency brokers to facilitate the conversion of fiat currencies to digital. Thus, the expectation is that 70 million companies around the world will start to accept the new decentralized technology in their establishments, even if indirectly.

“WE ARE PARTNERING WITH 50 OF THE LEADING CRYPTOCURRENCY PLATFORMS ON CARD PROGRAMS THAT MAKE IT EASY TO CONVERT AND SPEND DIGITAL CURRENCY AT 70 MILLION MERCHANTS WORLDWIDE.
