Everybody that hasn't been living underneath a rock for the last months remembers the now famous UNI airdrop that took place in the beginning of September 2020.
Everybody that missed out on that one believes that life is like Netflix: everything is a serial!
So they hope there will come another airdrop like that one. Also hackers a scammers are aware of that. So last night I found one I would like you (especially new-comers in the crypto world) to warn for:
https://uniswap-bonus.com/
The page CLAIMS that it is an Official Airdrop as of today December 9, 2020.
Trust me, it is not!
For every 1 ETH that you hold, you can receive 100 UNI tokens as an airdrop. Existing UNI holders will also benefit from this airdrop, for every 1 UNI that you already have, you can receive an additional 0.3 UNI.
Obviously you can not receive the airdrop (if it existed) on a centralized exchange and yes, so far, the creator is right, you should move your coins to a private wallet for which you own the keys (like MetaMask, MyEtherWallet, MyCrypto, HelioWallet, Ledger, Trezor, Atomic Wallet, Exodus, Parity and etc.)
After you click the red button CLAIM AIRDOP you are presented with the next screen:
You should provide your:
ETH address.
ETH balance.
UNI balance.
At this moment already, all your alarms should go off. Why should I provide the balances my self? Like if there are no API's that can do that automatically!
(Just as a fun experiment, I used data from Vitalic Buterins' ETH wallet )
Scrolling down a little more shows us that the creator of this scam is actually a GOOD GUY (NOT!!!) He/she offers you a helping hand in how and where you can find your Private Key or Mnemonic Phrase for some of the most used Wallets.
This gave me this superstitious feeling that I could predict what would be on the next screen, after pressing the red button Continue.
I just knew that the next question would be to provide my Private Key or Mnemonic Phrase.
PLEASE PEOPLE (especially Vitalic), NEVER PROVIDE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS ANYWHERE! YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR FUNDS!
More information about this can also be found on the Official Uniswap page:

An ICANN Domain Lookup reveals that the domain was registered as a LINK-HOST.NET, 2 days ago, in the Russian REGISTRAR OF DOMAIN NAMES REG.RU LLC.
