Galini Beach is also known by the locals as 'Dimarcheio Beach' as Dimarcheio is the Greek word for 'town hall' so this is the beach next to the town hall of Voula. It is the 5th and last beach that you will find here in Voula (coming from Athens city center).

Depending on the road you take, this beach is, by car, between 17 and 20 km away from Athens (Syntagma square).

The shortest way to get here is by following Vouliagmenis Avenue (Λεωφόρος Βουλιαγμένης) but this is, in my opinion, a quite boring road.

The other option is that you come here over Paleo Faliro (Παλαιό Φάληρο). If you follow Siggrou Avenue (from the center of Athens) and keep driving on the right lane, the interchange to Poseidonos Avenue (the road where this beach is located) happens automatically. This is a much more pleasant excursion as you drive next to the sea, almost all the time.

Next to the beach, on the left side (facing towards the sea), there is big guarded FREE parking.

The beach is also approachable by taking the bus. The end station of Voula is only 200m away, on the left side (facing towards the sea), from the beach.

For the more ‘sportive’ people among us, this beach is also, in a safe way, approachable by bicycle. On the parking, mentioned above, you will find an ‘i-bike’ sharing station. "Get everywhere by bicycle".

Galini Beach is a very nice, small, sandy beach and because of its shallow waters it is very suitable for families with smaller children.

The municipality has upgraded this beach this year with some accommodation to serve the bathers.

There are a lot of umbrellas so there is no need to bring one your self. Remember, first comes first served. If you didn’t make it, be happy, there are also some trees to find shadow during the hot summer days.

There is also a dressing cabin so that you can easily change your (wet) swimsuit for your clothes.

Special in this beach is the installation of a 'Seatrac'. This device allows people with a disability (or elderly people) to enter the sea in an easy way. It looks like a small roller coaster that transports the guest into the water.
