What is Townstar?
Townstar is a RPG game developed by GALA GAMES where players compete to build the most efficient and profitable town. Players will need to develop their town from scratch by growing crops, gathering resources, constructing and maintaining buildings, along with employing workers. The game is akin to farmville but better, much better.

Townstar is now launching its' very own in game currency called "Towncoin". This is the first in game currency developed by GALA and is a major step in developing the "play to earn" model.
Players will be awarded TownCoin upon successful completion of certain tasks within the game. These tasks could be relatively simple, such as constructing a windmill, or they could be increasing challenging such as building a running water system. Whilst the set metrics have not been disclosed, one would assume more difficult tasks would demand a higher reward.
What Use Cases Does TownCoin Have?
1. Towncoin can be used to purchase in game assets such as buildings, land or equipment etc. As a side note, players also have the ability to sell on their in game assets on a secondary market such as Opensea or rarible.
2. TownCoin can be converted into GALA which can either be sold for fiat (such as USD/GBP/EUR etc) on participating exchanges such as binance or bitrue.
3. Whilst this is simply my own view, but the TownCoin itself could be listed directly on crypto exchanges in the future.
Node Owners Will Be Airdropped TownCoin On A Daily
For those who have been following my GALA blog will be familiar with what a GALA node is, but for those who do not, please allow me to provide a brief explanation. The GALA gaming platform runs on a decentralised blockchain which is achieved through the power of individual nodes which are geographically located in all corners of the globe will no central authority - and ANYONE can purchase a node. In return for providing computational power to the GALA network, node owners are rewarded in the form of cryptocurrency and random NFTs. But back onto the topic in hand, TownCoin will be distributed to node holders on a daily basis providing they have met the minimum daily requirements which at present - is to simply keep ones node on for 6 hours in a 24 hour period. Node holders will then be able to use their TownCoin in the same fashion mentioned above.
Ok, So When Does TownStar's Play To Earn Model Launch?
Players will be able to earn TownCoin from the 5th October. The game is free to play and you can sign up here. I would also suggest signing up now so you have a few days to get comfortable with the game so you can get ahead of the competition.
