“If you think you’re too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent a night with a mosquito.”

It’s exactly 4AM.
COVID dito, COVID doon.

Meanwhile, the DepEd Chief recently declared: “We beat COVID!”
The reality is, many students can hardly afford gadgets and have no access to the internet. Instead, they are given printed modules and left on their own to learn.
[UPDATE: In the next few days, we will be signing the agreement with a leading internet service provider. It will take approximately 5-6 months to build the infrastructure needed to support our #CaviteFreeWiFi project that will cover the needs of DepEd Public School students in the province.]
THE BIG PICTURE
Based on recent data, CAVITE is on the path of flattening the curve.
Dati, umaabot tayo sa 600-700 cases a day. But for the past 10 days, we have been averaging approx. 90-100 new cases a day.
While conquering the pandemic together is paramount, it is time to think ahead and discuss our initiatives for a better future.
GOIN’ GREEN
Next week, the provincial leadership will start discussing the steps to cut down greenhouse emissions in Cavite.
On the long term, we are proposing a 15-year phase out program of all fossil fuel-based engines from both Local Government and Public Transportation.
The process, however, shall entail consultation, engineering and economic impact analysis before it is put into law.
Our aim is for Cavite to be gasoline and diesel engine free by 2040.
1. Makapaghanda ang mga operators at mabawi ang kanilang puhunan;
But no matter the challenges that lie ahead: Government leaders should never stop paving the way for the future, instead of getting caught up with just the problems of today.
Long term consistency will serve better than short term intensity.
