How to know if an Airdrop is Legit(Scam Alert)

Many of crypto lovers have been hooked in airdrops. Airdrops are free crypto token to be given away before it launches in crypto market or before its living trading. This is a way of token developer to promote its token in Crypto market.

Airdrop is good way also to earn money online. However,scammers have been taking advantage of Airdrops in making a fake airdrop to lure people it it.

So in this article Im going to share few steps of my basic knowledge in how to know if the airdrop is legit or scam. Before signing up for an airdrop you may consider this awareness to avoid scams.

1st:No Investment

A legit airdrop dont ask for any investment. Bcoz its only goal is to promote its token to market and raise an awareness to people about the launching of its project. If you find an airdrop that says you can only claim your free token if you invest a certain amount then do not go for it. It is only wise to secure your money first than regretting it in the end.

2nd: Token's Roadmap

Token airdrop that are legit usually have a Roadmap.Roadmap contents about developers plan about the said project. The target dates of every event regarding the token,the project goal and what people will expect about its token. You can usually found their roadmap in the airdrop site.

3rd:Social Medias Updates

Most of Legit airdrop have a twitter,facebook page and even telegram for its announcement and updates. You should check and look for it too. It will also help to know the updates and development about the token airdrops.

4thEtherscan.io

Some tokens even before its launching have already an estimated value. It is only a target value by the developer but it still depends on the outcome and development of the token project in the market once it launch. You can search and track the token in Etherscan.io. Most token I earned in Airdrop can be tracked in Etherscan before its launching and they are all legit. But there are also token cannot be searched in Etherscan.io but is legit. It happens if the token dont have a value yet. However,airdrop hunters have been using etherscan io to track and check the token if they have plans to buy the token rest assured the project is legit.

5th:Hype Value

I always consider the value of token before I sign up in every airdrop. Some of airdrop are having "too good to be true" that says $500 above only in sign up bonus. I dont believe in that especially if the project doesnt have an exchanger yet. They are only making this strat to lure people and sign up with this project.Most legit airdrop I know have an allocated budget for their airdrops about 5%-10% only of the total supply of its token and considering that how come an airdrop will be worth a $500 only can be earned in sign up bonus in every user.

However,in Uni airdrop just happened lately is exceptional since Uniswap exchange is one of the top exchanger in cryptos and only launching its own token that is Uni.But only old users of Uniswap exchange that had a transaction history were given of their generous airdrop.

I must say that Hunting Airdrop is one of the easiest way to earn money/crypto in online. Infact I have earned from it many times over and been a big help to me in terms of financial. But we have to be more careful since some of it are only use as clickbaits,phising site or worst identity thief if asking for KYC (know your client) verification.

So before signing up in every airdrop just do some research about it. Remember not all airdrops are paying and legit,60% of it are scams so beware.
