History is essential. History really matters. Of course we should study history. Why? It is simply because we cannot come up with the new ones without going back and studying the past of something to develop or improve it. When it comes to innovation, we also use history to help us find the best way so that we can come up with the new idea that will make these things better in the future. History also helps us in many different ways. It is  very useful to create open-minded, good business people to make our economy grow and evolve, Professionals who serve and help the people in need in the society and Political leaders, who we entrust to have peace and unity in our society. They play a big role in our society so history is, they used to study the past to make things clear in the present  that is why we have research in everything that will help us find where that thing came from or start with. Aren’t you curious about everything? I always ask myself where we really came from? Are we born from microorganism or should I believe the evolution of humans or in a divine theory that we are all created by God. We have so many questions that we can find the answers through history but of course, it doesn’t give you all the answers you want but will give you a hint that will lead to the answer you are looking for.

History helps us understand people. I agree with that, we have our own story of our life, the unforgettable moments in the past. It's either good or bad that we bring into our present life and make us who we are now. I remember how I cried a lot when I was young when my parents had a big fight, I really don’t understand why they are fighting and all I can see is two of them shouting at the top of their lungs and hurting each other physically. But when the time flies and I am growing up, it hits differently every time that they are fighting. I am still crying not because they fought again but the fact that I can understand the situation they are in and somehow the 18 years gap of their age had a big impact on the situation.

History helps us understand the change. It teaches us to appreciate how complex most situations are. If we are going to our old life, our poor country used to barter the things or food they had in order to have the foods/things they want, we used to play outside with friends but now, they only need the gadgets to be satisfied. We used to write a letter for our loved ones but now, we have a lot of social media accounts to communicate with them. There is a lot of change it is somehow helps the society but it also has a disadvantage for us, they make things easier but it will also affect the people in the society because of the sudden change such as the farmer nowadays, they used to have a lot of work in the farm that will sustain their family but when you look at the face of very farmers now, you will see pain because of the new invention of Machinery stole their job. Everything is improving and it is a good thing because our economy is growing but we cannot change the fact that there are still disadvantages especially for the poor families.

History provides identity. This will describe who we are, Filipinos are known for being hospitable, every time we have visitors even if it is a foreigner or not, we make history in our past and that will describe us in the present time, our culture, norms, and etc.

The knowledge acquired through study of history  is relevant in a wide range of disciplines that can lead to diverse employment opportunities. As a student of history, we can see how individual motives, perspectives and influences in shaping the future, appreciate how unpredictable the future may be. In a changing world, understanding of changes is relevant. History helps us sharpen our mindset to wisely judge current challenges and issues.

great article, and also although I haven't actually aquired the desire to read up on lots of history (nerd) 🤓

there is some things I've read that I think is true: History repeats itself and also humans never learn (which might not exactly true when i think about it or is very contextual) 😆

History repeats itself? hmm kinda agree with that haha but not always. It is actually depends on the situation where the people are into. Humans never learn when they vote the same person who commit corruption in our country just because they enjoy the campaign of that person haha oh c'mon :<
