The architecture of the Ma-Cho Temple stands out against the La Union skyline. The highest point in San Fernando, located on top of a hill at an elevation of 70 feet above sea level along Quezon Avenue, gives a panoramic view of the West Philippine Sea and San Fernando harbor. It was established in 1975 to worship the Chinese sea-goddess Mazu and is the Philippines' first Taoist temple.
The Spider Dome, a 13-tiered building with interlinking wooden sculptures of saints, is the most popular attraction at the spectacular temple, which is an 11-tiered attraction with interiors packed with Chinese décor and Taiwanese art. The Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Bamboo Garden are some of the other beautiful attractions to see.
