You would like to help support your favorite Twitch Streamer but you are strapped for cash. There is one way you can still help. Watching advertisements for Twitch Bits. Bits are a type of currency on Twitch that you can give to your favorite streamers that accept Cheers or Bits. You cheer streamers using Bits.

How can I farm Bits?

  1. You must be in the United States (I have heard it works for some Canadians)

  2. You must view Twitch in a web browser (PC or Mac)

  3. You must turn off all your ad blocking (no you can’t just whitelist Twitch)

If the streamer accepts bits you will see a diamond-like shape in the chatbox.

Click on the Cheer diamond icon and you will then see this.

CLICK ON “Get Bits”

Click on the “Get Bits” button and you will then see this.

CLICK ON “Watch Ad”

Click on the “Watch Ad” button and you will get an ad to watch, if the button does not show up then you need to really disable your ad blockers. By watching ads you will receive bits, either 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 or 100 bits. Most commonly you will receive 5 or 10 bits. Twitch resets their bits at midnight PST “Twitch Time” that is the best time to start farming, you seem to have a better chance at getting the most bits for the day. I would also recommend using a separate PC than what you are watching the streamer on, because you won’t be a able to hear or see the streamer while watching the ad.
