Okay, it's been a while since I last posted. I got kinda busy with work.
Today I wanna share with you a very beautiful succulent, but I don't have much information about it (and also photos, will update the article as soon as I take more pics). I searched both in books and on internet forums but didn't find much data about this particular specie (maybe I have the wrong ID?). Anyways, this is what I learned so far, mostly from my personal experience taking care of it.
Characteristics:
It's also known as Echeveria pilosa (not much info about it and the photos I found online didn't quite match my plant). It is mostly green (hence its' name, duh) with fleshy leaves covered with little white "hair". The pointy end of the leaves show a red tone. It tends to grow in colonies.
Cares:
It does not tolerate direct sunlight (especially during summer, I almost killed the poor fella) It goes well tho in bright areas or in semi-shadow. Watering should be quite frequent during the hot seasons and mostly absent during winter. Excess water can kill it if the weather is cold. It can be reproduced from cuttings or from leaves (I tried this last one a lot and only managed to make one single leave sprout, it is still trying to survive... we'll see if it does). Most advantageous time of the year to do so is in spring (where I live we're in spring right now so fingers crossed).
Flowering:
All I know is that flowers bloom in summer. If I'm not wrong, they are tiny little yellow flowers (and maybe with some pinkish dots here and there).
Okey, so that's it for this beautiful plant. If anyone else knows more about it, please let me know!
See you guys!
