Myelomas are a type of cancer that usually occurs in the plasma cells or white blood cells. Healthy cells of plasma help fight infection by generating antibodies and attacking and recognizing the foreign germs. The signs and symptoms of myelomas include such as nausea, loss of appetite, constipation, and mental confusion. Risk factors for myelomas, for example, male sex, black race, increasing age, and family history.
