I know many Christians ,who consider themselves well read when it comes to the Bible, that will tell you they don't believe in aliens. They will tell you that aliens are made up, just a fairy tale, and can not be real. The same Christians will tell you that they believe they have a guardian angel that is always watching over them or they will tell you that God has sent an army of angels to protect us.

Now I'm going let everyone in on a little secret. IF YOU BELIEVE IN ANGELS THAN YOU BELIEVE IN ALIENS. Merriam-Webster defines alien as coming from another world: extraterrestrial. I think that everyone will agree that angels do not come from earth so in definition alone ANGELS ARE ALIENS.

The Bible does give descriptions of 2 different kinds of angels that look distinctly different than humans and that's what I'm going to focus on in this post.

Seraphim

The Bible only speaks of the seraphim in a vision that Isaiah has where he sees seraphim serving in the presence of God’s throne. The Seraphim are described as having six wings. Two are used for covering their faces, two for covering their feet, and two for flight. The seraphim proclaim God’s holiness to one another.

Isaiah 6:2-3 KJV 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Now there is some speciation that when the Bible speaks of "fiery serpents" that it is speaking of the Seraphim but I'm not going down that rabbit at this time.

Cherubim

Cherubim are mentioned only in the old Testament. Cherubim seem to have multiple faces, but the faces vary in number and nature. However, cherubim with multiple faces seem to have the faces of different creatures on the same body: man, ox, lion, and eagle. The Cherubim have a likeness of a human, legs with calves’ feet, human hands, four wings (two of which cover their bodies), and they joined together with each other.

Ezekiel 1:5-11 KJV

5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

As we continue in the book of Ezekiel the four faces are different: cherub, man, lion, and eagle.

Ezekiel 10:14 KJV

14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

I have another article that I've already written that I want to post after this article so I kind of rushed through and finished up this one without fully developing some of my ideas. Depending on the response to this article there may by a part 2 where I will go more in depth about the Seraphim. I strongly encourage you to read Ezekiel’s descriptions for yourself (Ezekiel chapter 1 and chapter 10) and come to your own conclusions.

I want to end by giving honor where honor is due. Thank you Abba Father for keeping your hand upon me and my life. Thank you Jesus for being my Lord and Savior and for dying on the cross so that I could have eternal life. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving me guidance, discipline, comfort, and for being so much more to me than just a tongue talker.
