let's start by asking a simple question. How often do you feel happy? or have you put a smile on the face of your loved ones today?
Having the world put you in a bad mood all the time isn't gonna make you experience the power behind the term "happiness".
All this talk about happiness has got me thinking, What does it mean to be happy?
According to the Google search, The term "happy" means to: "show feeling or showing pleasure or contentment".
Scientific studies suggest that being happy may have major benefits for your health. For starters, being happy promotes a healthy lifestyle. It may also help combat stress, boost your immune system, protect your heart and reduce pain. What's more, it may even increase your life expectancy.
But it is one thing to be happy and it's one thing to stay happy, that's the thing about happiness because the world has the power to make you happy and make you feel down. And this often sometimes leads one to depression.
But if you're looking for ways to stay happy at all times, here are some steps:
Keep smiling: no matter what the world throws at you, no matter how they laugh at you and no matter how they make fun of you, just keep smiling, because you are who you are and nobody has the right to hurt you with words.
Stay strong, Both mentally and physically: This means that we should stay positive and also stay fit as well, doing a little exercise helps to keep our minds active and focused. Having a strong mind enables us to stay positive all day.
Being grateful for what you have: This part for me was the hardest because I was always the kind of person that wanted to get the latest trendy tech, without thinking about how it would affect the financial status of my parents. Being grateful means being content with what you have and being able to utilize that to the fullest.
Give a compliment to others: let them know that they are doing great and cheer them up when they are feeling down because when you do this, you've made someone feel happy and smile.
BEING A VICTIM OF BULLYING: Bullying people makes others sad and also causes emotional trauma. Try your very best to avoid bullying and stay positive.
STRESS: Being stressed out can sometimes cause you to feel unhappy, The best way to relieve yourself from stress is to avoid any stressful activities and to try doing breathing exercises when you are really stressed out.
SUPPRESSING EMOTIONS: if anything is bothering you please do not hesitate to ask for help from friends and family. If you still feel that way then you could seek help from a medical specialist.
