This is the Roman Amphitheatre of my town, where gladiators could give shows for 10.000 people. It was half carved in the rock, while the rest was built in white limestone (you can see how it looked in the last picture) . Unfortunately during the middle ages the stones were removed and used to build fortifications and so only the carved spots remain. 😣
