Unfortunately I have not a better photo (because the park was closed) but I show you a poor very old tree that is famous in my town. It's called l'albero dell'ammiraglio (Admiral's tree) and now I tell you why. Hundreds of years ago an english ship, full of little plants from South America, arrived at Cagliari after surviving a very bad tempest. The admiral was so happy that asked the city to choose a plant and the city chose this Prosopis torquata that is still living here. Unfortunately how you can see... it's finishing its life... like everything else in our little planet.
