The most emblematic characters in bitcoin is "Satoshi Nakamoto".

Probably all of us who follow cryptocurrencies have ever wondered, who is Satoshi Nakamoto?, and the answer has always been just assumptions.

Why would Satoshi want to remain anonymous?

The reasons are obvious, he invented a system that defies the centralized control that governments have imposed and replaces it with security, anonymity and the freedom to do whatever you want with your coins. Which makes Satoshi a rock in the road for those who want to control you, and if exposed he would have many enemies in the political and banking arenas.

I have been checking your tracks on the internet and I have discovered that in the metadata of your files uploaded to the network it is appreciated that he use software with region en/Gb.

Satoshi is from UK.

this narrows down the list of possible suspects.

Who do I think Satoshi is?

Nicholas Gregory

Founder & CEO at CommerceBlock, Technology leadership and Bitcoin expert.

So why do I think it's satoshi?

According to his LinkedIn profile, he describes himself as:

"Building talented teams, cryptocurrencies expert, software engineer, been involved with bitcoin (since 2012) and startup support.

Been quoted in major publications regarding cryptocurrencies and advisory work for government trade bodies. Vice President at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America & JPMorgan.

Travelled to over 30 countries. Hold professional scuba license with over 100 dives. Teaches martial arts in local area.

is an experienced martial artist. He has trained boxing, Tai Chi and studied in Shaolin, China. He is the first student to complete the Wing Chun System under Leo Au Yeung (Ip Man movie fight choreographer)"

although on other occasions he contradicts himself with the fact that he started in crypto in 2011 and not in 2012, so this would be a flaw in his alibi.

Nicholas Gregory knows how banks work

Although he was working in banking Nicholas did question the ethics of the 2008 financial crisis and thought it was unfair that they got bailed out. He came to the conclusion the traditional banking sector wasn’t for him.

he's educated in multiple IT disciplines, he's trained to have made bitcoin a reality, I guess he was motivated by the 2008 financial crisis to show the world his "Bitcoin white paper", I personally think he had been coming up with this since at least 2006 due to the collapse of the housing bubble that same year while offering the "Designed mortgage solution for ING Direct banking system. He acted as technical lead within a team of 4 Senior Development leads".

but, where does the pseudonym "Satoshi Nakamoto" come from?

Nicholas Gregory (Nick) is an experienced martial artist. He has trained boxing, Tai Chi and studied in Shaolin, China. He is the first student to complete the Wing Chun System under Leo Au Yeung (Ip Man movie fight choreographer).

"Since I have opened up a Wing Chun school in NYC I have had good luck in some of the people I have gotten to train with"-Nicholas Gregory

The nickname Satoshi is probably an anagram of Sato-Shifu(Sato master ), referring to Colonel Sato (in Japanese: 陸軍大佐 佐藤), the secondary antagonist of Ip Man.

or maybe the pseudonym is a nod to the cryptologist Takeshi Okamoto

And what about Craig Steven Wright(CSW)?

CSW claims to be satoshi but doesn't prove to the crypto world that it is, if it was brave enough to say it is Satoshi without fear of political harassment and persecution, why not just make the signature that everyone demands to see, To give truth to his words, in my opinion, like that of many, he is not the creator of Bitcoin, and this leads me to my theories:

THEORY 1

The novelist Andrew O'Hagan while interviewing CSW asked him about the martial arts he had studied as a young man and CSW replied "little really. I have studied the Chinese forms of Wing Chun, Tánglángquán, Kuo Shu, Duan Da, Zui Quan y lóng xíng mó qiáo. I have also mastered Muay Thai, Kenpo, Taekwondo and Chitō-ryū Karate. I started with karate and ninjutsu"

To which O'Hagan added in his book called "The Secret Life: Three True Stories"

"As in almost everything related to him, it is not that what he says is not true, it is that he smacks of insecurity in himself and a need not to hide anything that favors him. It is the kind of truthfulness that expresses fear and raises doubts, which is not the same as lying".

The only relationship I have found between Nicholas Gregory(Nick) and CSW is that they both claim to have practiced Wing Chun, Nick follows CSW on twitter and is actively commenting on tweets regarding CSW's case.

In this theory I believe that Nick and CSW met at some point thanks to the Wing Chun martial art and he confessed to CSW that he was Satoshi and that was afraid to reveal his identity, and CSW knowing this declared himself Satoshi, to demonstrate that there would be no serious consequences and took over the image.

THEORY 2

Nick realized that CSW had financial problems and contacted him to pretend to be Satoshi in exchange for bitcoin, all this to divert attention from the search for the real Satoshi and everything got out of control.

THEORY 3

Some government entity is using CSW to try to bring Satoshi out into the open again and catch him.

THEORY 4

They both met years ago and created Bitcoin together.

Thanks for getting here, this post was made with love and inspired by the traces left on the net by the aforementioned characters without wanting to offend any of the parties with my opinion.
