,, And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon.”
Rev. 9: 1-11
"And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the fountain of the abyss;" which is written, and she was given the key to the well of the abyss; ". The key can only be obtained by someone who is a person or a person and not a star made of some material. We further read that this" star "should unlock or open the gorge of the abyss or the door of the abyss.
This "star" is a person and if you look in the Bible where the "falling star" is mentioned earlier, it can be concluded that this "star" is Satan, but in this verse it cannot be reliably claimed that it is Satan. it may be Satan can be concluded if you look at the world "scene" today which is full of this trend "stars" of various profiles and occupations so we have music stars, film, sports, politicians stars, writers, artists, rhetoricians and many others including "stars" dealing with astrology, divination, clairvoyance, etc. And all these stars are in some way inspired by Satan, so it would not be surprising that this "star" is Satan himself, but there is a possibility that something else concerned.
He writes about Satan;
,, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”
Isa 14:12
Jesus said of the fall of Satan:
,, And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”
Luke 10:18
In any case, whatever the variant in question, this person is given the key, "and he is given the key to the well of the abyss."
According to the Bible, the abyss is located in the "heart of the earth" at the bottom of Hell, but none of the people know exactly where it is, and here in the verse we have a record that the "star" received a key from a well or gorge. Today, this gorge or well is locked and will remain so until the time comes for this "star" to get the key to be able to unlock the well of the abyss.
According to this record we can conclude that perfect order reigns everywhere even in Hell although many think that it is not so, we can clearly see that there is Hell and that the well is locked and that means that "Someone" who locked the well has keys and no one will to unlock it until He gives the key to unlock it.
And who is He who has the keys is written in Revelation where the Lord Jesus says:
,, …and have the keys of hell and of death.”
Rev. 1:18
So the key to the abyss is the Lord Jesus Christ and He now gives the key to unlock the well with a special intention or purpose. Now is the right time to fulfill part of God's plan and for that purpose the Lord Jesus gives the key to unlock the well.
"And he opened the fountain of the deep, and the smoke went out of the fountain like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the sky were darkened with the smoke of the fountain."
And now when the well opens from the "heart of the earth" smoke erupts which will cause eclipse or darkness because the sun's rays will not be able to penetrate so much smoke. This is something like watching footage of a volcano eruption where you see ash and smoke under the pressure of gases they erupt on the surface of the earth and go to the heights and in the areas where this smoke and ash has engulfed the earth there is darkness. So something similar will happen but probably on a much larger scale because we have seen so far that all catastrophes in that period it will be large, so this will be the same, because according to the Bible, Hell is a place of darkness, fire and sulfur and "smoke from the judgment" in large quantities and we are just waiting for God's time to bring it to the surface.
And when the time comes, the next thing he writes is:
"And out of the smoke came out locusts upon the earth, and gave them dominion, even as the scorpions have dominion over the earth."
God used a similar punishment when he punished Egypt to free the people of Israel from Egyptian bondage.
,, And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous [were they]; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.”
Exodus 10: 14-15
These were real locusts and we read that these locusts come from Hell and their role is different from those locusts from Egypt. For those locusts from Egypt it says:
"And they did eat all the grass of the earth, and all the fruit of the trees that remained behind the city, and there was nothing left of the trees of the field and of the herbs of the field in all the land of Egypt," and these locusts shall come out of Hell.
"And they were commanded that they should not enter into the grass of the earth, nor for any green thing, nor for any tree, but that they should hurt" only men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. "
For the real locusts in Solomon's Tales he writes:
,, The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;”
Song of Sol.30: 27
So true locusts do not have a king to lead them, and here in Revelation we read:
"And they had over them the king of the angels of the abyss" These locusts that are written about here are embodied demons who are in Hell today and will be released when the time comes to fulfill part of God's plan.
The Bible says about them:
,, For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”
2 Pet.2: 4
,, And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Jude 6-7
These demons are today at the bottom of Hell in a place called Tartarus and they will be released on earth to torture people and they will be very zealous in their work or torture because they are probably full of rage that they have been in hell for many years and that their own anger will "spill" on the people who will then live on earth.
"And they were told not to enter the grass of the earth, nor any green, nor any tree, but only people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And it was given unto them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it bites a man: and in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and they will want to die, and death will flee from them. "
Now these "locusts" are coming out of the Abyss and have a time limit of five months to torture people, "than to torture them for five months" but they do not have the power to kill them, "and they were given not to kill them". is a description of that torture, "and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it bites a man;" Today, we know from experience that a scorpion bite is very dangerous, people who have been bitten by a scorpion writhe in pain and agony, have a fever and say that these symptoms are so painful that people scream because the degree of pain is extremely high.
In this description we see that these "locusts" or demons have just such a possibility and they will be able to "seek" their anger only on the unbelievers because it says that they have limited areas, "and they were given an area," where they are probably only unbelievers because it says, "but only to people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads" and those who are born again and those one hundred and forty-four thousand missionaries will not be able to attack and torture because God himself will save them.
On all those great sufferings because of the catastrophes they survived, now come the "locusts" with terrible tortures, people will be "on the verge of a nervous disorder", as they say today, and we read the result, "And in those days people will seek death, and he will not find her; and they will want to die, and death will flee from them. "Some people will no longer be able to endure those torments and sufferings, so they will look for a way out in suicide, but it says," and death will flee from them. " which means that people will try to kill themselves by jumping from high places, buildings, bridges, buildings into abysses, maybe they will drink something poisonous, inhale the poisonous gases they will find or they will try to end their suffering with cold or firearms, maybe they will catch devices under high voltage but it will not work because God will miraculously neutralize and prevent it all. It will be a time when people will look like "zombies", distraught who will not know what to do due to pain and torture. horror movies with zombies where we can see them go, jump over various obstacles, fall into hollows but then get up again and go on and usually there is someone who shoots them in the head and they end the agony but in our text it says that it will not be but people will be tortured for five months, "than to be tortured for five months"
During this time, Job prophesied many years in advance:
,, Which long for death, but it [cometh] not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;”
Job 3:21
From this part of the text we can see again and conclude that the "blind case" does not control events in the world but that God controls them and that everything happens according to God's plan. From the text we see that God is the Lord of life and death and no one can take life without God's permission and not even unbelievers.We need to say that these are ungodly people, one should also know that a large number of them will be greatly influenced by Satan and demons, some of them will probably persecute the faithful in great trouble and will do what, , they want "to the limit that God has allowed them, but when they want to continue doing what they want in this case to" end their suffering ", God will not allow them this time because it does not fit into what God has planned.
We have seen so far what the mission of these "locusts" is, and below we have their description of their appearance.
"And the locusts were like horses ready for battle" Here the Apostle John describes these "locusts" and says that they are like "horses ready for battle" which means that they can go on the attack at any moment, horses ready for battle are not even calm but "nervously" snort and wait to leave, often pounding their hooves on the ground in anticipation of the movement and in our case these "locusts" can hardly wait to start doing what they "waited" for many millennia for which they were released from the Abyss Hell.
So they are ready like a "shotgun" and John sees what he sees next, "and on their heads like crowns of gold," which we can symbolically say that these "locusts" will be masters or kings on earth for five months because they will God forbid.
,, and their faces as human faces. And they had hair like women's hair, "These demons we're talking about have men's faces and hair like women. Today, the trend is for men to wear long hair, and here we see that they actually look like these" locusts "that should appear in big trouble. and probably this trend is not accidental because Satan inspires people to what the Bible says it will be but uses it for his own purposes and not to draw attention to what is to come. People of course accept new trends because it is "in" because they do not have the idea of what is really going on, they do not know that Satan is working on recruiting people with whom he will spend eternity and these new trends are very suitable for such a thing.This appearance of "locusts" and many young people is contrary to the teachings of the Bible and Satan This is exactly what he uses for his "promotions". Here is what he writes:
,, Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”
1 Cor.11: 14
It goes on to say, "and their teeth were like those of lions;" These "locusts" have large teeth or fangs like lions, and as soon as they have such teeth it means that they will use them and in that use no one will be able to stop them because it says that people would be "tortured for five months;" and "they had armor like iron armor," which means that they would be well protected and any fight with them would be unsuccessful.
So these "locusts" have human faces, lion's teeth, long female hair, crowns on their heads, iron armor and "tails like scorpions" with stings, so in our opinion they are monsters that will torment people. We can read further that they will they were very noisy, even if they had some wings, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of a chariot when many horses run to battle, and they had tails like scorpions, and stings were on their tails; and it was given unto them five months to go in unto the people.
It will not be possible to say exactly what they are for these "locusts" because in several places it says that they look like "a man's face, like a woman's hair, like a lion's teeth, like a scorpion, so they will look like something, but it will not be possible to say that It already looks like something. In any case, these are monsters, demons who will torture people for five months, and in the end we see that they have their master, he writes:
"They had over them the king of the angels of the abyss, whose name is Hebrew, Abaddon, and the Greek Apollyon." Their master is Abaddon, which is a Hebrew term, and Apollo in Greek, while we could translate these names from Destroyer. These "locusts" will torture both Jews and pagans who will then be alive and not be saved. The good news or the Gospel was first heard by Jews and Greeks, so it is written that they are the first to receive glory, honor and peace, but if they reject the Gospel, they are the first to receive trouble and sorrow. In the Epistle to the Romans, the apostle Paul said:
,, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:”
Rom.2: 9-10
For all those who do not accept the Gospel and this is true for our time it says:
",,And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
2 Thess.2: 10-12
In order to be protected from the coming troubles, we need to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be automatically sealed by the Holy Spirit, and that is a guarantee that these horrors and troubles we talked about will not touch us because God himself promised.
,, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
Rom.8: 9
,, And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Eph.4: 30
