,, And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
Rev.5: 1-5
After the throne and the living beings around the throne, John now sees and turns his attention to the book and says, "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and without." On the throne sits God the Father, the book is "in a safe place" and no one can take it or appropriate it.
The shape of the book we use today was not known in the time of John. At that time the books looked completely different and we can call these books "scrolls" because they were in the form of a roll or a roll that was wound and it was actually long parchment that was rolled up and looked like a roll, John sees "a book written inside and out" which means that the contents of that book were written on the inside of the roll and witnesses were signed on the outside according to the then codex and this book was completely written and finished because it was sealed "with seven seals". and the number seven is a symbol of completeness which means that there is nothing more to add but the next thing that can be done is to open this book. the unauthorized were stamped and only the authorized or worthy could remove the stamps and read the contents.
In this case, John sees a completely written book that is in the safe hands of the Father and that is sealed and only needs to be opened by someone, but that will not happen before the time comes.
God revealed to the prophet Daniel:
,,… and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.”
Daniel 12: 7
But Danilo did not understand this, so he continues:
,, And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall be] the end of these [things]? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”
Daniel 12: 8-9
This was about 2600 years ago, but it has not been fulfilled yet because the time has not yet come and it will be fulfilled only when the Church is taken to heaven.
John continues, "And I saw a strong angel preaching with a great voice." This angel has a special ministry and he preaches loudly so that everyone in heaven, on earth and under the earth can hear him. This strong angel is the same angel that Daniel transmitted the revelation. it is Gabriel.
,, And I heard a man's voice between [the banks of] Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this [man] to understand the vision.”
Daniel 8:16
,, Yea, whiles I [was] speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.”
Daniel 9:21
So that's Gabriel, and now let's see what Gabriel preached, "Who is worthy to open a book and break its seals?" We see that here Gavrilo wonders if there is anyone who is worthy to break the seals and open this book. When it is broken, it is not a question of force, but Gavrilo asks, "Who is worthy to open the book and break its seals?" strong throughout history to break the seals and open it. Throughout history there have been many strong and powerful people who have tried to be rulers of the world but no one has succeeded so no one has the right to open this book.
"And no man in heaven, nor on earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the books, neither to look thereon."
With today's vocabulary, we could say "everything is scanned" and no one was worthy to break the seals in heaven, none of the angels, no old patriarchs, no Abram, no Moses, no Daniel, no apostles Peter, Paul or any other apostle But the earth was "scanned" and of course there was no one there either, because in Psalm 14 it is written what God saw on earth and what he can see on earth.
,, The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
“
Ps.14: 2-3
So there was no one on earth either, however it was "scanned" and "underground" but there was no one there yet because hell is there and then Gabriel concludes, "And no one could be in heaven or on earth or underground to open the books or to stare at her. "
John says what happened next, "And I cried a lot that no one is worthy to open and read the book, nor to look at it." We see that John is very sad and cries because there is no one to solve the problems of our planet, clean is from lawlessness, violence and remove the curse from the flora and fauna.
But we keep reading
"And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not; behold, the lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to break the seven seals thereof." by telling him that there is someone who is worthy to break the seals and open the book. That "someone" is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The lion is the king of beasts and this is the King of Kings, the Lord Jesus Christ. For him, Patriarch Jacob prophesied :
,, Judah [is] a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be].”
Gen. 49: 9-10
,, For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.”
Hebrews 7:14
We see from which tribe Jesus is, and Jesus himself further says that he is also from the descendants of David
,, I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.”
Rev. 22:16
but He is before David through all eternity., once our Lord asked the Pharisees:
,, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, [The Son] of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?”
Mt.22: 42-45
Jesus is before David, Moses, Abraham He is above all He is the Creator of everything and the Pharisees had nothing to say to this so we read;
,, And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any [man] from that day forth ask him any more [questions].”
Mt.22: 46
We have seen the "origin" on earth and this only confirms that Jesus is fulfilling the covenant given to be King over his land and the prophet Isaiah writes about it.
,, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Isa 9: 6-7
In the first book of the diary we read what the Lord was saying to David through the prophet Nathan
,, And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee: But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.”
1 Chronicles 17: 11-14
So the one who is worthy to break the seals is the Lord Jesus Christ who had an indescribable struggle while he was on earth, he fought a terrible war but he won and the elder John says, "Do not weep, behold, the lion has prevailed, the root of David, to open the book, and to break the seven seals thereof;
