,, And the four beasts had each of them six wings about [him]; and [they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Rev. 4: 8-11
Last time we saw who the "living beings" really are and what the common traits are, as well as the differences, we will now continue to see what these "living beings" do.
First, let's say that these "living beings" are full of life and maintain God's justice and holiness because we read that they constantly glorify God, "Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty" and if they constantly glorify God and His holiness, it is logical that they are The very guardians of God's justice and holiness. When Adam and Eve were expelled from paradise, the Cherubim was appointed to guard the way to the tree of life.
,, So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
Gen. 3:24
in other words, the cherubim was appointed to guard God's holiness because Adam and Eve sinned and became sinners and Gentiles, and such have no place in heaven.
,, And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”
Rev.21: 27
By forbidding them to go to the tree of life, God gave them great grace because if by any chance they sinned again and in connection with the tree of life they would become eternal sinners and thus the gates of heaven would be closed for them and for everyone else. merciful and later comes Jesus who pays the price for all sins and thus opens the way to the sinner in heaven including Adam and Eve.
The figures of these four "living beings" on their flags were worn by the Israelites who traveled through the wilderness, they also had a tent from the meeting with the sanctuary which represented the shadow of the heavenly sanctuary and they were also symbols of God's protection because God guided, fed and he took care of them while they were in the desert.
When they were outside the tent in the east was Judah with a flag on which was a symbol of a lion, Ephraim was on the west with a flag on which was a symbol of a calf, in the south was Reuben with a flag on which was a symbol of a man and in the north was Dan with the flag on which was the symbol of the eagle.
,, And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab [shall be] captain of the children of Judah.”
Numb.2: 3
,, On the south side [shall be] the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben [shall be] Elizur the son of Shedeur.”
Numb.2: 10
,, On the west side [shall be] the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim [shall be] Elishama the son of Ammihud.”
Numb.2: 18
,, The standard of the camp of Dan [shall be] on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan [shall be] Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.”
Numb.2:25
The next thing these "living beings" do is convey and carry out God's commands. We find these living beings in the sixth chapter.
,, And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.”
Rev. 6: 1
,, And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.”
Rev. 6: 3
,, And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.”
Rev. 6: 5
,, And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.”
Rev. 6: 7
The next thing we read in the sixth chapter is that the voices of these "living beings" are heard by the riders of the Apocalypse (verses 2: 4, 5 and 8) because judgment is coming on earth and judgment will be conducted through these Cherubim
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.”
Rev. 15: 7
And judgment must come because it is a God of order and harmony and not a God of chaos, and this judgment will be poured out on anyone who has rejected Christ's mercy and grace and turned to ungodliness and injustice.
,, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;”
Romans 1:18
He further writes that they constantly glorify God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We find a similar description of worship in the prophet Isaiah
,, In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory. "
Isa.6: 1-3
And when he gave the animals glory and honor and praise to Him who sat on the throne, who lives forever, twenty-four elders fell before the One who sat on the throne, and worshiped Him who lives forever. , and they set their crowns before the throne, saying: You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things, and according to Thy will hast Thou created and was created
We see that in addition to the "living beings," the glory of God is given by the twenty-four elders we have studied earlier, who represent the Church, which means that the glory of God is also given by the Church which is now in heaven. It is also the throwing of crowns before His feet before the throne. These crowns are given to the believers at the judgment seat of Christ as a reward for faithful service on earth, and there are five of these crowns.
The incorruptible crown is given to those who gladly mastered the desires and pleasures of the body and the world.
,, And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”
1 Cor.9: 25
The crown of joy is given to those who have brought a soul to Christ.
,, For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.”
1 Thess.2: 19-20
The crown of justice is given to those who gladly speak of Christ's coming and wait for him.
,, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
2 Tim.4: 8
The crown of life is given to those who gave their lives for Christ. They are those who are not ashamed and who are ready to endure ridicule and even death.
,, Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
James 1:12
,, Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”
Rev. 2:10
The crown of glory is given to the shepherds of God's people.
,, Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”
1 Pet.5: 2-4
These were crowns or rewards that the faithful would place before the throne of God because all the crowns were given out of mercy and not on merit at any time, and that is why they "put their crowns before the throne" to the glory of God.
“You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things, and according to Thy will hast Thou created and was created
The Creator of everything is God and that is why He alone has the honor as the Creator and as the One who sustains everything and everyone will have to admit these truths sooner or later, someone does it because he loves and believes in Jesus and someone will have to admit in shame when he no longer there will be opportunities for pronunciation.
,, And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Phil.2: 8-11
Something else writes "and power" Jesus has all the honor but also the power because he is the Almighty and He will one day come and everyone will see Him and then everyone will have to admit that He is
,,King of Kings, and Lord of Lords”
Rev. 19:16
but not only that, Jesus also has "power",
,, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
Rev. 19:15
And so that we would not be in this group that will experience ..the power of "God", let us believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and we will be saved because He is first the Savior but also the righteous judge.
,, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
John 3: 17-18
