,, and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”

It says here that Satan was thrown into the "abyss" and we saw earlier that the Antichrist and the false prophet were thrown into the Lake of Fire.
,, Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Rev. 19:20
Since we are talking about two places here, let's see what it is about.
What we call Hell in Hebrew is "sheol" and in Greek "had" and it is the same place and someone calculated the word "sheol" is found in the Old Testament sixty-five times and "had" in the New vow eleven times.
"Sheol" or "Hades" is the place where all the souls of all the dead and the saved and the unsaved went until Christ's resurrection. And "Sheol" or "Hades" is divided into two parts: the place of torture for the unbelievers and the place bliss for the faithful. That place of bliss was called "paradise"
This place "had" was meant by the Lord Jesus when he said to the thief on the cross:,, And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."”
Luke 23:43
In ..had "were both the rich man and Lazarus.
"And when he was in torment in hell, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his arms."
and Carnic's translation reads:
,, "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”
Luke 16:23
Both Abraham and Lazarus were in "Hades" but in a place of bliss and there was a great chasm between these two parts of "Hades" and no one could cross from one side to the other. The faithful people of the Old Testament did not have a full and true picture of heaven they already expected to "go" to the "old" and have communion with them in the place of bliss.
And so it was until the Lord Jesus went to "had" but to the place of bliss.
Psalm Sixteen says:
"For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
Ps.16: 10
and the Apostle Paul explains this:
,, "he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.”
Acts 2:31
And then, after the resurrection, the Lord Jesus took the souls of the righteous straight to heaven and writes about it:
,, (Now this, "He ascended"--what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)”
Eph.4: 9-10
Even after this event, the souls of believers go to heaven and the souls of unbelievers still go to "had"
And now let's see where Satan will be cast, the text says, "And cast her into the abyss."
The abyss is a part of hell "hada" which is at the bottom and in Greek it is said "tartarus" and there are bound today the demons that God keeps in the "shackles of the darkness of hell"
,, For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;”
2 Pet.2: 4
These demons will be released to torment people in great trouble for five months, and we have already talked about that, but here is what is written in the ninth chapter of Revelation:

And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. And the shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. And their power was to hurt men five months. And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.”
Rev. 9: 1-11
This is a terrible place because God keeps the worst demons there now and Satan and his "angels of hell" will be thrown there and it is obvious that the demons themselves are afraid of this place because we can read in what words the demons pray to the Lord Jesus:
,, And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss.”
Luke 8:31
That was while the Lord Jesus was on earth, but we read in our text that the time will come when there will be no more answering of prayers but command or command, "And cast her into the abyss, and shut her up, and seal her."
So Satan will be cast into the abyss or tartarus with demons and will spend a thousand years there, until he is a thousand years old; and then it should be resolved for a short time. "
In addition to this there is something else we have to explain and that is hell or "Lake of Fire"
"Sheol" or "had" is not a "final" hell or a lake of fire, but a temporary place, although it has been in use for thousands of years.
The final place of hell is called "tofet" in Hebrew and "gehena" or lake of fire in Greek.
We can read about "tophet" in Isaiah:
,, For Tophet was established of old, yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made it deep and large; its pyre is fire with much wood; the breath of the L#, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.“
Isa.30: 33
and Jeremiah:
,, "And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart. "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "when it will no more be called Tophet, or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter; for they will bury in Tophet until there is no room.“
Jeremiah 7: 31-32
And the word "gehenna" comes from the word Enom from the valley of Enom near Jerusalem, and that is the valley in which they threw children to the god Moloch.
,, And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech.“
2 Kings 23:10
,, He burned incense in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burned his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.“
2 Chronicles 28: 3
,, "And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech,, ..."
Jerem.32: 35
Later, the Israelites used this valley to throw debris and dead animals, and there the "fire" was never extinguished and the worm "never died" and this is exactly what is used in the Bible to "describe" "hell" hell or fire. Lake.
This is the place the Lord Jesus meant when he warned:

And in the tenth chapter:

So Hell, Lake of Fire, "tofet" or "gehenna" whatever we call it is a place that everyone should avoid because we have seen what the Lord Jesus tells us now and so far we have quoted many verses in which God kindly prays to us. to turn to Him and avoid this "horror" of the Lake of Fire.
Each of us may have cut or scratched or had a toothache or something, so we saw that it hurt a lot, but according to the verses we studied, it is better to "dig out the eye" (we can imagine the pain in this act) than to end up in hell. "Drastic" illustrations, everyone can come to the conclusion about what torture is like in the Lake of Fire, and something else, that torture will never stop or have an end.
