,, And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' "And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Rev. 19: 8-10
Last time we started studying the wedding of the Lamb and we saw that the Church was called "woman" for the first time and now to continue, it says, "And it would be given to her to be clothed in pure and white silk: for silk is the righteousness of the saints."
So only at the end after Christ's judgment is the Church given the robe when every stain is removed from the Church and every good deed is rewarded followed by the giving of the robe and therefore there is a great celebration in heaven
,, "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
Rev. 19: 7
The church is given to dress in "pure and white silk:" but that is not the justice of Christ, because it is written below, "because silk is the justice of the saints." and Carnic translates this as "cloth, namely, these are the righteous deeds of the saints." These are not the deeds of Christ for us, but our deeds as a result of our justification by faith and unity with Christ.
We can understand this better if we explain the custom that was at the time when Jesus was on earth. At that time people wore two dresses inside and outside. The lower or inner was called a tunic and it was pure white and the upper dress was called that. These dresses were worn by the Lord Jesus Christ and were red or blue.
All believers receive the first robe, the tunic when they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is a gift of God.
,, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Eph.2: 8-10
We are not saved through deeds but by Christ, but we are saved and we should do good deeds and that is our "toga" that we knit every day and these dresses should be purified on the dryness of Christ. to make the dress look as beautiful as possible for the bride, and that's how we should behave to "sew" our toga to look as beautiful as possible ".
,, And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.”
1 Job 2:28
We don't have too much information about what all this will look like, so there is no need to guess, but one thing is for sure, there will be joy, happiness and glorification of God. Now, how that joy will be, we probably can't understand now, it needs to be experienced.
,, "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."”
Rev. 19: 7
And then John continues ..And he said to me: Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the supper of the wedding of the Lamb. And he said to me, "These are the words of the truth of God." "The wedding" will take place in heaven, and John is now writing about the supper of the wedding of the Lamb, and we see that it says, they should strive to be participants in this "dinner" but as we have seen many will not be at this wedding and dinner because for some reason they refuse the invitation.
During this time the Lord Jesus said:
,, Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; "for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."”
Luke 22: 15-16
,, "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."”
Mt.26: 29
This wedding will be perfectly arranged, there will be a Father who will welcome the guests, the central place will be the Bridegroom and the bride, the Bridegroom in all its glory and the bride without blemish and frowns and forty-four thousand saved servants of God during the great tribulations who are personal escorts who are wedding guests and there will be guests and these are all those who will be saved in the great tribulations and in the Millennial Kingdom as well as Old Testament believers of whom John the Baptist the biggest
,, "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”
Matthew 11:11
but the smallest in the Church is greater than him and that is because the Church has a prominent and special place in God's plan and John the Baptist will be a friend of the Bridegroom and the first among the guests will have a prominent place but not the bride.
For centuries, God has not worked according to a pattern, but God's wisdom, justice and sovereignty are also included, and only He makes the reasons for that.
Finally, let us say that only those who are "in Christ" belong to the Church, the bride, and that is all those from the Spirits to the taking of the Church.
,, For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free- -and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”
1 Cor.12: 13
,, For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
1 Thess.4: 16-17
and for the Old Testament believers and believers from great tribulations it is not written anywhere that they are "in Christ" even though they were saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
And now, whether it is a human imagination or a creation, John emphasizes:
"And he said unto me, These are the words of the truth of God."
and immediately afterwards we read that John was so engrossed and occupied with the events he saw that he fell before the angel and worshiped him
"And I fell at his feet and worshiped him."
but the angel immediately corrected John and said to him:
And he said unto me, Behold, I am a servant, even as thou art, and thy brethren that bear the testimony of Jesus Christ. Worship God; "
Here the angel clearly says that he is a servant of God like us and that we only need to worship God and no one else and he ends this sentence with the words:
"For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy."
So the center and core of the whole Bible, the word of God, the center of all prophecies in the past and future as well as the center of preaching is the Lord Jesus Christ and the whole Revelation of John that we have talked about so far is the revelation of Jesus Christ in the coming glory,
"Worship God;"
