The time in which we live is full of great natural disasters and catastrophes and for these catastrophes there are usually reasonable explanations given to people through the media. We will mention, for example, a tsunami or hurricane very large and devastating catastrophes that settlements, people and infrastructure and hurricanes go deep into the continental part where devastation remains.

We know what they look like and what consequences they cause because we can find a large number of recordings that confirm the destructive power of these catastrophic phenomena, but now the question is what can man do to fight these forces. In most cases, the only thing he can predict is natural disaster. will have enough time to take shelter to safety until it passes. And that's mostly all after these disasters a man can only start building again and fix the damage because man does not have a way to defend himself or to tame Since the theme is "God is omnipotent", here we can see the manifestation of a small part of God's power by which God shows how omnipotent he is in relation to us humans.

If you look at the footage of these catastrophes, you can see that huge force, because in the event of a tsunami, no defensive walls help because the water wave passes over it and destroys everything in front of it, leaving only desolation with some indications that someone once lived there. hurricanes, where they pass, only desolation remains. Here you can see how almost everything that the hurricane encounters flies, houses simply no longer exist, pieces of furniture fly. things, wreckage and everything in its path, trees fall, cars overturn , trucks, not to mention what would happen to a man if he were in the open in front of such a force.

And there are earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, landslides, winds, holes in the ground, etc., such destructive examples in nature. and in all there is a common feature present, a great force which man cannot control.

But if a person, despite all attempts, fails to control it, it does not mean that it is an uncontrolled element that occurs here and there. This enormous destructive force is controlled and is manifested only in the quantities in which God wants to warn us that we have deviated a lot. from Him and that it is time to see in it God's hand that wants to get us back on the right path, because humanity has fallen so much and is behaving so catastrophically that it is a real miracle that God still suffers us and does not show even greater power because in most In some cases, a person does exactly what he should not do.

We have seen a small part of how God warns us through the forces of nature, but God is not omnipotent only in that field. These were just some obvious examples that are obvious to us because disasters.

We find in the Bible through different periods of time and different manifestations of God's omnipotence, so we will mention some.

We see from the Bible that Abraham was 99 years old but had no offspring, and on one occasion God appeared to Abraham and said:

"And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.“

                                                                                             Genesis 17: 1-4

We further see that Avram was not very sure about that, so he thought that he would never have offspring with his wife Sarah

"Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall [a child] be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?"

                                                                                            Gen. 17:17

Here, too, we can see God's omnipotence because he told Abraham something that was not very clear to the human mind, but because it was very clear to God, that is why he said it to Abraham. because He possesses all knowledge and then it is no problem to fulfill a given promise. Such or similar promise can be given only by God because He is omnipotent and imagine that now we humans give some promise about something that will happen in the future. That promise can happen by chance or only one part can come true or it may not happen, we don't know that, but God is omniscient and omnipotent, and when he makes promises, he fulfills them.

We can see the fulfillment through the Bible but here is just one verse.

"The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."

                                                                                             Mt.1: 1

Then we have the event when the Lord sent Moses to Egypt to bring the people of Israel out of slavery.

Here we can see that God appears to Moses as God Almighty and not under some other name.

"And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I [am] the Lord: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name Jehovan  was I not known to them.."

                                                                                            Exodus 6: 2-3

The following example is from the Revelation of John, where we have a scene in heaven where four living beings glorify God the Almighty, and in order for someone to be the Almighty, he must possess the power that sustains everything, and only Almighty God possesses such power.

"And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:"

                                                                                           Rev. 19: 1

"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."

                                                                                           Rev. 19: 6

It is written that the Lord God is glorified in heaven, who is the sustainer and who reigns, and in the Gospel of Luke we can see where the Lord reigns from.

"Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God."

                                                                                          Lk.22: 69

So the Lord is at the right hand of the power of God and hence reigns, he writes about it:

,,And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

                                                                                          Matthew 28:18

The Lord reigns because He is El Shaddai or God Almighty. God possesses infinite power or power that is eternal and has no end, and a part of the prayer "Our Father" reminds us of that.

,, For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

                                                                                           Mt.6: 13

God can use this power at his discretion without any difficulty or difficulty to create something as in the past when he created the earth and all living things on it or as he creates today or as he will create in the future.

,, Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, [and] there is nothing too hard for thee:"

                                                                                          Jer.32: 17

" He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. When he uttereth his voice, [there is] a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.”

                                                                                           Jer.10:12-13

Humans are very intelligent beings and can create practically anything they want to a certain extent, but when creating we read that God used only the word and it was created, he did not need any material as we need to create something and there is another proof that God is omnipotent.

,,And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."

                                                                                            Genesis 1: 3

" By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

                                                                                             Ps.33: 6

In the Gospel of Matthew we read about how only God's word is needed to heal a person and the disease is defeated, God does not need to be next to the patient because He is not limited by space and time. His power is not subject to our laws. we read in Matthew:

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed."

                                                                                             Matthew 8: 8

Although God has unlimited possibilities with His power, He will never use His power to be contrary to other attributes of God. the whole world and not just the enemies who nailed him to the cross.

" Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

                                                                                            Mt. 26:53

If it had happened that way, it would have been contrary to the will of the Father and the intention with which the Lord Jesus came to earth, and then Jesus would not have been able to say

“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do."

                                                                                            John 17: 4

Here we see that God uses his almighty power to his glory to fulfill God's plan because what he intended must be and nothing but God's will can change that plan.

" The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, [so] shall it stand:"

                                                                                           Isa.14: 24

God also planned in advance how the nations would receive the Word of God, and it is written about in the Acts of the Apostles where it is said that evangelists will receive the power of the Holy Spirit and then practically no one will be able to stop them until they fulfill the activities planned by God.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

                                                                                          Acts 1: 8

And finally, to mention something that has not happened yet, but will happen when Almighty God will say only the Word again and it will be what is written in Revelation and after that what we read in Isaiah ...

" And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

                                                                                          Rev. 19:15

,,For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: “

                                                                                          Isa.65: 17

Let us also mention that with this power the Lord Jesus defeated Satan in the wilderness

" Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

                                                                                          Matthew 4: 1-11

Finally, here are a few more verses that confirm that God is omnipotent:

" And God said unto him, I [am] God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;"

                                                                                         Genesis 35:11

" For the Lord your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:."

                                                                                         Deuteronomy 10:17

" And said, O Lord God of our fathers, [art] not thou God in heaven? and rulest [not] thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand [is there not] power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?"

                                                                                         2 Chronicles 20: 6

" Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God [is] terrible majesty. [Touching] the Almighty, we cannot find him out: [he is] excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict."

                                                                                         Job 37: 22-23

" Behold, I [am] the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

                                                                                         Jer.32: 27

" But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.."

                                                                                         Mt.19: 26

" And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

                                                                                         Mk.10: 27

" For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

                                                                                         Luke 1:37
