"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
2 Tim.3: 16-17
The whole Christian belief is based on the word of God which is published in the Holy Scriptures, so we can say that without it there would be no Christianity. Without God, we would know about true reverence for God, what we would know about the right relationship with others, what we would know about the Savior, sin, justification, what we would know about man's fall into sin, what we would know about true the state of man before and after the fall into sin, what we would know about the future and about many other important information
The answer is simple, we would not know anything, ie we would not know what the real truth is, but we would probably have some information that is untrue, distorted or interpreted to suit someone because it says:
,,All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; “
Isa.53: 6
These allegations are confirmed by history, from which we learn that many peoples, tribes and individuals worshiped their gods, which they invented and respected because they realized that they lacked a link, and since they did not know the true God, they made their Gods to worship and offer. sacrifices to appease them in some way And their gods did not always want to listen to them And they then invented various methods and ways of respect, so it can be said that they were handed over to the mercy of waves and winds like a boat on a rough sea.
In order for that not to happen, God gave us his Word, the Bible or the Holy Scriptures, and it is the only and infallible authority that should be studied in the Spirit and with prayer, because that is the only way we can understand it, and God's Word itself testifies to that.
,,But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Cor.2: 14
So the scripture is from God, "All scripture is from God" or the author of the Scripture itself is God himself, who had the original Scripture before the creation of the world and we actually use the copies we got while the original is in heaven and about that we can read:
,,Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.”
Ps.119: 89
Since we know that the original of the Holy Scriptures is in heaven, the question arises whether it is possible to destroy the Holy Scriptures because there have been many attempts throughout human history by various states, institutions and individuals, but to date no one has succeeded.
And again, the answer is very simple, no attempt or effort to destroy God's work called the Holy Scriptures will succeed, nor has it succeeded so far, because it is also written about:
"If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
John 10:35
,,Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
Mat.24: 35
,, The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever”
Isa.40: 8
If God Himself says that His Word will not be corrupted, it means that it is so, and that is in fact the reason why people throughout history have failed to destroy the Scriptures. It is not possible to destroy something that God preserves and cares about. in the new translation it says
,,All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, “
2 Tim.3: 16
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Mat.4: 4
So every word that is in the Bible is from God, although there are words that God himself said, there are words that were spoken by people, faithful and unfaithful, angels and even Satan himself. Regardless of the fact that some words were not spoken by God, he allowed to be in the Bible for reasons known to Him and everything is for the purpose of glorifying God even though it seems strange because some ungodly person or Satan himself said something.
In the Bible we find many prophets and even more prophecies that people made but they are inspired by God because these people prophesy about things they knew nothing about or did not exist in the time in which they lived. Such things only God could know through the prophet presented his truths which means that the prophets did not speak of their knowledge but God gave them that knowledge by the Holy Spirit and they just conveyed it.He writes:
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.”
2 Peter 1:21
,,But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
1 Cor.2: 9-13
We see that the author of the Bible is God, but it is man who was inspired, controlled and inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what God intended to write.
"And God spake all these words, saying,”
Exodus 20: 1
"And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”
Exodus 31:18
"But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Gal.1: 11-12
Now we can consider why the words of God were given by God through man.
In order for man to understand that God exists, he can see from the nature that surrounds him, but in order to understand the power, love and mercy of God, something more than that is needed, and that is the Word of God. Man's fall into sin makes man's conscience sleepy even if it is in hearts. written God's moral law man does not do what he should and what God wants to do but in most cases does exactly what he should not. And that is why God's intervention was needed in the form of God's word that teaches us all that we persistently refuse and do not we want to work.
"All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good work”
2 Tim.3: 16-17
Despite the fact that we do not live by the principles that God has given us, God does not leave us but gives us his word that everyone needs to read and study, he writes:
" Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Ps.119: 105
And if the author of the word God himself testifies and facts that events and personalities are described in the light in which they really happened, because if man had conceived and written it, it would probably have been different because man likes to hide his mistakes, weaknesses and flaws. However, we find that human successes, failures, brilliant victories and heavy defeats, deep downfalls from the moral and spiritual side are described, so the truth, whatever it may be, is written. it would not be expected like Aaron, Solomon, David, the apostles, and the nation of Israel itself that was chosen by God and it would be logical that they lived according to God’s will but we find very opposite claims and events that do not support it.
When writing, historical writers avoided writing the historical failures of their nations, but the word of God was written according to God's instructions as historical events happened and not as one would expect it to be written.
Another important fact related to the Bible is that it is the most widely read book on the one hand and on the other hand it is a book that people have tried to challenge and destroy for centuries. writes and lately, when people have not already managed to destroy it, they will start interpreting it as they see fit.
"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation. “
2 Peter.3: 3-4
Here we see that people read what is written in the Bible but do not believe because they are mocked because they think that what is written will not come true, so they probably advise, "live as you want, there is nothing from this, or maybe" you only live once ". , is there still someone who believes in fanatics ", etc., but at the same time they are not aware that they are fulfilling the letter in that way, that is, what the word of God itself writes.
Of course, not all mockers have those who believe what God said and they try to live and work according to the principles we find in the Bible, and one of the principles that should be followed is what the apostle Paul wrote.
"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Acts 17:11
" "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good work”
2 Tim.3: 16-17
The Bible is the testimony of God's infallible Word.
Information about the entire Christian belief and creation of the world in which we live is found in the Bible or the Bible, which is the only and infallible authority that God gave us to know accurate information about the origin of the world and the first creatures and people he created.
Every word that is written in the Bible by God is given to us, and in addition to information about the origin of the world, there is also various other information about human successes, failures. mistakes, defeats, falls, conquests, but also the glorification of God as the creator of everything done on this earth.
The canon of the Holy Scriptures or the Bible is composed of 66 books divided into the Old and New Testaments and was written in Asia and Europe and used Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. It was written in a period of about 1600 in very different conditions and environments. written by judges, emperors, priests, prophets, patriarchs, scribes, soldiers, doctors, fishermen and even shepherds.
The Bible consists of 66 books and is divided into the Old and New Testaments, and the earliest parts date from the period of about 15 centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ, and the last parts were completed about a hundred years after Christ.
Although it was written in such a long period and under those conditions, there are no parts in the Bible that were in some disharmony with other parts of the Bible, and it can be said that the central person in the Bible is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Despite the fact that it is composed of so many separate units, it is essentially a book that has its own chronology, its own beginning and end.
The Holy Scriptures begin with the first book of Moses and end with the Revelation of John and if anyone
he seriously reads and studies what he writes, he can notice that much of what begins in the first book of Moses ends only in the last, ie Revelation.
Genesis describes the beginning and creation of heaven and earth, and Revelation describes the end and beginning of a new heaven and new earth, Genesis describes man's fall into sin, and Revelation describes man's redemption.
The first book describes the earthly paradise and the last describes the heavenly paradise.
At the beginning we read that Satan deceived Eve and Adam and in Revelation it says that Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire and we also read that Genesis describes the onset of death and curse while in Revelation it says that it will not happen again.
So it can be said that the Bible is a panorama of heaven on earth, through the fall into sin of the curse, the failure of men, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and death on the cross until we finally have a new heaven and a new earth.
