Witches' Saturday, that is, a rally to Łysa Góra
In terms of height, the second highest peak in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. At the top there is a feature of the mountains Świętokrzyskie, Gołoborze, a radio and television broadcasting center, Święty Krzyż - the Missionary Oblate monastery and the remains of the embankment of worship - the place of the pagan Slavs.
Łysa Góra was often associated with witches, it is unclear where this belief comes from. It is the most famous witch meeting place in Poland.
There was a legend… “In Łysa Góra, at night, the witches gather for Saturday. They light bonfires and make poisons that harm people and their property. When the rooster crows after midnight, the witches sit on their brooms and fly down the mountain with the howling of the wind ... "Apparently, thanks to the monastery erected and the prayers of the monks, the witches were expelled ...
At the top is the magnificent Oblate Missionary Monastery mentioned above.
A few meters further on we arrive at the Radio-Television Broadcasting Center, while a few meters behind the station there is a sign to the viewpoint, the gravel area.
You can spend a lot of time here. In addition, there are several food stalls, stalls with souvenirs and toys at the top.
