Dear readers, here we are with the third appointment of The Basketball Post, second on the Italian Basketball League. Last week we spent four words to better explain the championship formula to those who were fasting basketball. Today, however, we start off immediately with the analysis of the 25th day.
The point of the situation
Despite the shortening of the distance between the 2 second, Virtus Bologna and Happycasa Brindisi, and the first, Olimpia Milano, until the seventh position the ranking remains unchanged. So we find precisely Milan first in the standings with 36 points, Virtus and Brindisi second to a distance victory (34 points), Sassari and Venice at 28 points, Treviso at 26 points and Trieste at 22. They contend for eighth position, last place useful for the playoffs, Fortitudo Bologna, Openjobmetis Varese, VL Pesaro, Dolomiti Energia Trento, Germani Brescia and Vanoli Basket Cremona all to 18 points. Incredibly still in the running for a place in the playoffs are Reggio Emilia with 16 points and also the last in the standings, Pallacanestro Cantù, with 14 points. The next round
The next round, given the ranking, will be full of ideas interesting. Mid-table plays to win a place in the playoffs, starting with the direct clash between Fortitudo Bologna and VL Pesaro. Reggio Emilia and Cantù will be chasing the last train for eighth place respectively against Varese and against Trento. Brescia, on the other hand, will try to score points in Venice. Virtus Bologna will try to win against Trieste, hoping for a misstep by Milan against Brindisi. In this case they would all end up at 36 points. Treviso will try to hook Sassari to 28 points. In short, we are expecting a good week.
The contest
I started thinking about a contest for the rest of the basketball season, a sort of points championship where you will have to predict the victory of the matches of the whole day and for each exact prediction you will receive 1 point.
Basically, since there are no draws, it is a question of making a 50/50 in 7 games per day.
At the end of the championship, including the playoffs, a general classification will be drawn up from which the winner / s will come out.
I just have to figure out how and how many prizes to award.
I had something like this in mind:
minimum mark 50%
for each day divide 50% of the votes received by the post between first, second and third (in different percentages)
the remaining 50% of all the days will always be divided between first second and third place (always in different percentages)
Let me know what you think in the comments and also how you suggest to split the prizes (if different from my idea).
If there were already the first adhesions, we could start again this Friday.
Si parte con il basket anche qui!!! Grande!!!!
