Hi. I'm Nila. I'm going to talk through how to link a bank account to your PayPal account.

PayPal has become a central figure in the e-commerce era. It's widely used as a way to transfer money between friends and family, and pay for goods and services.

But while PayPal is accepted as a form of payment at a lot of places, it's not accepted everywhere, and one way to get your money out of PayPal and into a more liquid state is by transferring it to your bank account. Linking a bank account to your PayPal account takes two to three business days in full, but after your bank account is linked, you'll have an easy path for getting your money out of your PayPal account so you can use it more places. And now, the steps to link a bank account to your PayPal account through the PayPal website.

Step 1. Open your Web browser and navigate to paypal.com. The PayPal home screen appears.

Step 2. Click "Log In" in the upper right corner. The PayPal login screen appears. Enter the email address and password associated with your PayPal account, and then click the blue "Log In" button. The home screen for your PayPal account appears.

Step 3. Scroll down until you see a Banks and Cards section on the left side of the screen, and then click "Link a Bank or Card" in that section. The Payment Methods window appears.

Step 4. Click "Link a Card or Bank" in the list of options beneath Payment Methods along the left side of the screen. The Link a Payment Method window appears. Step 5. Click "Link a Bank Account." The Select Your Bank screen appears. Click the name of your bank if it appears on the list, or click "I Have a Different Bank" if your bank doesn't appear in this list. For this example, I'll click "I Have a DifferentBank." The Link a Bank Account window appears.

Step 6. Select the radio button to the left of either checking or Savings to indicate the type of bank account you want to link to your PayPal account. Then, enter the routing number and account number in the appropriate fields. Review the numbers to verify that you entered them correctly, and then click the blue "Agree and Link" button. A Quick Security Check screen appears.

Step 7. Choose to either receive a phone call or a text message on the Quick Security Check screen and then click "Next." You'll receive a code through the channel you selected. The Type In Your Code screen appears. Enter the code you received, and then click"Next." An Identity Confirmed screen appears briefly before you're returned to the Link a Bank Account window.

Step 8. Navigate back to the PayPal home screen and scroll down to the Banks and Cards section on the left side of the screen. You may have to wait a few minutes, but the bank you added will eventually appear in that section, with an orange exclamation point to the left of it, and a blue Confirm link below it. Click the blue "Confirm" link beneath the bank you added. The Payment Methods screen appears again.

Step 9. The bank you added will be automatically selected, and you'll see a message on the right side of the screen informing you that you can choose to receive the two small deposits in your bank account from PayPal, or you can confirm your account instantly. In this example, I'm going to wait for receipt of the two small deposits.

Step 10. Monitor the bank account you linked to your PayPal account for the two small deposits. These will be deposited by PAYPAL VERIFYBANK. After these two small deposits come through, make a note of the amounts.

Step 11. Navigate back to paypal.com, log in to your account, scroll down to the Banks and Cards section on the home screen, and then click the blue "Confirm" link associated with the bank account you want to verify. You'll arrive back at the Payment Methods screen, with the bank you're looking to confirm already selected, and status on the right side of the screen of Ready to Confirm.

Step 12. Click the blue "Confirm Bank" link. The Confirm Instantly screen appears. Click the blue "No thanks, I'll enter random deposits" link toward the bottom of this screen. The Confirm Bank screen appears, displaying fields where you can enter the two small deposits PayPal made in your bank account. Enter the two small amounts, and then click"Confirm." A screen appears with a green checkmark telling you that your account has been confirmed. Click the "Done" button. You'll be taken back to the screen displaying the status of linking this bank account to your PayPal account, where you'll see the status changed to Confirmed. Congratulations! You've successfully linked a bank account to your PayPal account. Thanks for watching it. Click the video link on the right side of the screen to check out another video.
