Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft, stated today at the Future Ready event that the company is developing future identity systems for real-time action, allowing computer solutions to be integrated in the real world and bringing genuine presence into virtual places.

He emphasized how organizations are reinventing hybrid work with new identity management technologies that let them cooperate more effectively.

"We're constructing the metaverse in transects, laying the groundwork for you to build on." The metaverse is a collection of interconnected online realms where physical, augmented, and virtual reality collide. People can socialize with their peers, work, travel, purchase products and services, and attend events. While there are several virtual worlds available on the internet, people cannot yet move between them while maintaining their identities and possessions. Microsoft and Mark Zuckerberg's Meta (previously Facebook) are already making significant investments in developing solutions for this market.
