Catscratch

*Bad omen, creatures of the dark. Run the other way!* My overly superstitious grandma, would have warned me. And I swear her voice was in my head in that entire time. But being the stubborn kid, I didn't listen. And here I am living the consequences. A soft purring caught my attention. I looked down and gasped. Being an animal lover; I couldn't resist the urge; it was like magnet getting attracted to metal. I have to touch it! I picked up the black mewling fur ball, circling my legs. I held the creature in my hands and marvelled at its beauty. It looked so innocent, so soft like a stuffed toy. I want to take it home! However, the innocence was wiped off in an instant when its eyes glowed red and teeth pointed out. The cat struggled within my grip. It hissed, dropped down with a thud and scurried away. It left angry scratches on my arms. But I didn't pay attention to it. It's nothing just a mere boo boo or so I thought. Hours passed and when I went home I was feeling nauseated. Then days and weeks came, I haven't stepped foot outside. I couldn't take sunlight anymore. There's something happening to my body. Something that I couldn't explain and it is bad. I can feel it, death could have been better. A knock came to my door. "Why aren't you at work?" a coworker asked with a worried tone. "I'm sick," I answered. No one heard of him after that. His head now stays on my freezer. Author's Note: A flash fiction for a bored mind. My tooth aches again and I cannot concentrate on writing huhu
