I have a dream...

As a Filipino citizen, I stand patriotic to my own nation, not to mention being a democratic country.

In a country burdened by corruption from its own government, I simply want our country to fully consume its resources so that Philippines may maximized its own potential. I believe one cannot simply do these things alone. It should be hand in hand together with people whose motive is mutual to other Filipinos. That is why we have the so called ‘Bayanihan’.

Furthermore, Us Filipinos hope to end this corruption so that purpose of these taxes may be enjoyed by each and every citizen. Not the typical promise of change by each politician but the hope of having the fulfillment of their real duty. We are already bored of these so called ‘TraPos’ whose only cause is to grab one time bigtime kind of percentage to each of their respective transaction. I hope voters would realize who the real servants of governments are.

Another one is for Filipinos to have justice be served for those needing it. Nowadays, we can observe individuals and families being served with longer time for process of trials. Innocents being jailed just because the prosecuting party is of known family, a rich one. We believe Filipinos deserved better than this. We wish for a just and fair trial even for the poor.

At this time of pandemic, as many employees lost jobs, one could simply want to have a job at least hoping they could thrive each day passing. We hope for each citizen to have a decent job, a job they can be proud of, a job where they could balance work and life, and a job that can sustain both luxury and investment.

More so, hoping one day, Filipinos won’t need to struggle going abroad to work just so they can earn and live the life after. One of the problems here in the Philippines is salary discrepancy. That is why instead of serving the country, people would have to face interacting with different culture just for the sake of having a good life later on.

As the Philippines is suffering from the bullying of our fellow Asian country, I hope one day we can have what’s rightfully and legally ours. A thing that should never be demanded to anyone. We believe this can be done in a good choice of words.

Simply peace is all we want in every areas of this nation. Including wars in Mindanao, we hope for it to cease in a peaceful manner, that no lives were to be perished; that each people would know what love really actually means. Instead of having these commotions and confrontations, I hope people would realize that one cannot talk peace and have a gun. Dreaming of the day that we are somewhat educated in valuing life utmost.

Regardless of our tribe, region, race or color, speech and life status, I believe a Filipino is worth having a dream for his beloved country.
