We have learned to live with plastic wastes
One thing that we cannot avoid in this world is plastics. We have got used to plastics so much that we cannot live without them now. There are still people who try to live without plastics in their life but we cannot be sure to what extent it can be possible. The hard truth is that we have enough plastic around us that is making the lives of many species miserable.
We have got so many medical advancements but we still don't know how to make plastics bio-friendly. Heavy research has been going on to make plastics more eco-friendly, but we don't have a concrete solution yet. It is a killer because if a small particle goes inside our body to the wrong place, then it can be deadly. Researchers have identified that plastics are one of the important sources of cancers in many individuals. Microplastics are dangerous and they are cancer-causing agents.
Plastics are everywhere
Today we have plastics everywhere and we cannot avoid them easily. The government is taking a lot of initiatives everywhere to avoid plastics but at the same time there are some countries where they don't care about the plastic waste they are accumulating and they have no intention to stop using plastics or stop manufacturing plastics. I have seen this awareness happening from a very young age where they keep saying that plastics are very bad for our ecosystem but we still see many people don't care about it and keep using it.
Humans are attracted to new findings and whatever makes their life easier, they are easily attracted. Plastics are one great boon for people because some materials made out of plastics are the best and there can be no better alternatives. Maybe a raincoat can be made of other waterproof material but they may not be as cheap as plastics. Some plastics that are good for recycling is good to some extent but in general avoiding plastics wherever we an is the best way to deal with it.
Even birds have learned to make use of plastics
We have found out recently that many birds have started building their nests with available plastic materials. Nobody taught them how to make use of plastics but after they have seen the world changing, I believe they have also started adapting to the changes. Some of the birds that reuse their nests during breeding seasons every year have started using permanent nests that are made of plastic items, this way they don't have to build their nests every season. Once built it will stay intact because they are not biodegradable.

It was also identified that some birds use colorful plastic materials for decorating their nests during mating season. This mostly happens when the birds have access to places where there are also humans nearby. Birds that attract their mates with some materials around their nests usually use some plastic materials as they are colorful and attractive.
