Splinterlands - Still the hottest game on Hive

We still have not had our bull run yet on Hive and in the previous bull runs, Splinterlands and other games did well and we were all excited with how much revenue it was bringing to the ecosystem. New investors were trying out the game and many communities also gave some new perks to the players. During the bear market, we had a lot of changes helping out the gamers but at the same time, there was nothing great about the token price and card prices. It was very normal and we couldn't make huge profits from the game.

I'm glad that I was one of the early birds in the game buying a lot of cards during the early days. I was also fortunate to win some additional cards by playing the game. Today those assets are giving me a decent passive income from the game which is close to at least 50 dollars a month. Earlier it used to be close to 100 dollars but at least now they are close to 50 dollars from different income streams.

I have different income streams in the game and Liquidity pools are one of the hottest income streams because I have most of my holdings there. Last month I did add some more SPS and DEC to the liquidity pool to increase my chance of earning from the liquidity pool. I guess it worked out because last month I received around 1600 SPS from the rewards and this month I'm receiving close to 1900 SPS as rewards. This is a good number and I don't know where I would be using this SPS but it is a good number for a passive income.

The APR numbers are still good. Even though some Diesel pools gave better APR during the start, I think they are still good at understanding the fact that the market is also not very good right now. Maybe when many people try to cash out during good markets, the APR percentage can improve even further. I usually check my liquidity positions once a month when I check my monthly stats. This is a good motivation to see how my account is doing.

The liquidity is usually always close to 1.9k USD in total and the value keeps fluctuating. But otherwise, I don't see any major difference in the individual value and I'm able to see that the positions are still very much intact. I might increase some of my holdings in the future but I would like to keep getting passive income from this continuously. I want to keep reinvesting to see how the compounding works but it would not be wise to just keep accumulating and not booking profits at all. That's why even if it is a small one, I try to book some profits once a month.

The next thing that I usually see is the overall asset value. There is a discord bot that tells me how much my account is worth in splinterlands. I did invest a lot during the initial days and the bull market last time my account was worth over 50k. These days the value is going down every month. If you notice I have not added new cards or removed any cards from my collection but still the value keeps going down. Hope the next bull run pumps the worth of my cards and then I can book some profits.
