Some tips to grow on Hive

There are people who reach out to me at times asking for help. They are either new to Hive or people who are not technical enough to understand Hive. Of course for growth, we don't really have to be technical at all. There is a misconception that people who know how to code can easily get rich. I don't think that is fully true. There are so many people with other skills like project management, designing, artwork, etc who can also do wonders with their skills. In order to grow on Hive, blogging is considered to be one important skill. Even if someone is building something on Hive, they should have a good skill to express what they are building, in the form of an article.

Hive is always primarily seen as a blogging platform. Only after that does it become a gaming platform or a platform with other opportunities. Till today the major source of income on Hive is still coming from blogging and curation efforts. People who have other skills can still explore and see in what other ways they can contribute to the platform and grow here. They can either be part of communities or projects on Hive or come up with an amazing idea and grow. Hive is still in its very early stages. Below are some of the tips I can give to people who would like to grow inside Hive.

Have a decent stake inside Hive

Though there are many projects inside Hive and even though most of them have their own tokens, it is always good to have a decent stake in Hive. The reason is that Hive is the primary cryptocurrency of the platform and everything else was built on top of Hive. So even if the value of other tokens goes down, the value of Hive can do better and will have more sustenance.

Many people consider it comfortable to vote for people who are staying invested on Hive and who believe in Hive. With a decent stake, we can also give the rewards to other users as well and make them happy.

Never withdraw everything

When it comes to profit-booking, I would always recommend booking your profits. But at the same time, we will be able to grow only if we have some stake here on Hive. Any DPoS blockchain would expect growth only if we have a stake on our end. If we are withdrawing our funds regularly, that means we are relying only on our posting rewards which may not be long lasting. Sometimes people will stop rewarding our posts and we will end up having no rewards. We cannot grow well if we don't have any stake in the platform.

Keep hunting for new projects and opportunities

If we have some skills that we can utilize in the platform, we can always keep looking for projects and opportunities inside Hive. It is not always necessary that we have to be a coder to grow. There are also other equivalent or even better opportunities that can be utilized to grow our profile. Sometimes a spark of an idea can make things better and that can make a non-technical person go to the peak.

Be honest even if you are gambling

There are also gambling opportunities inside Hive. By gambling, I mean trading opportunities. We can buy low and sell high and we can invest in projects at the right time and book profits when it is really high or something. There is no harm in doing something like that. But being honest is very important. We shouldn't cheat anyone or grab funds from others and cheat others. We don't have to tell lies here to grow. Some people reach out to big stakeholders in DM saying that they are in real need of funds for the next meal. I'm not saying not all people are bad but there are bad people too who make sympathy as a tool to grab money.

Thanks for the tips. I recently created an account on Hive and also joined a few of the various Discord communities (Hive, Ecency, Leo, etc.). These are a treasure trove of help and info I've come to find.
