Motivation to write is mostly based on the topic we choose
Many people ask me how I get the motivation to write every single day. They say they are the biggest fan of my consistency. Only I know how hard it is to maintain consistency and write every single day. I thought I would share some thoughts on this topic and share how I have been able to do this. I do have some secrets about how I do it. I might have shared it with some people in the past but good to do it again I guess.
First of all, it is not very easy to write every single day. Some days we might have the highest motivation and some days we might be very lazy to do anything productive or useful. On lazy days I will never try to push myself hard. The quality of the output I get would be very bad. I may not realize it on that very day but when I review my work on another better day, I would feel bad about it. I make sure I relax and don't do anything when I have writer's block or feel lazy about writing.
I would like to be very honest with you and say that I don't write every single day. There have been days when I don't feel like writing anything and I don't force myself. But you might see me posting articles every single day. That is because, on the good days, I make use of the time and write articles for the days I would not be available. Yes, I create backup articles and post them when I really don't feel like writing at all. I will again be very honest with you, there have been days when I would have articles ready in hand and I would feel really lazy to post them. Posting is not a big task but I have had days where even posting can be hard for me. So, you are not alone. But in this part, I force myself and do it.
Now getting back to the topic, motivation happens based on the topic we choose to write about. Sometimes if we read something sad, we will have a sad mood. Sometimes if we focus more time on entertainment stuff, we would not have a mind for productive stuff. The same happens with writing as well. If we don't choose the right topic to write about, we will not have the motivation to write. When we know for sure that it is can be hard to write more than 100 words for a topic, we will really be exhausted when we are done with that article, and the next day when we think about writing, we would be really hesitant. This can also be one of the reasons for writer's block.
When I start writing an article, I first create hints and make sure I have enough points to develop the article further. Only after I'm really enthusiastic about the topic, did I start developing the hints and completing the articles. Sometimes I might as well get ideas for more than one article. I sit and spend time creating hints for those articles. If I'm exhausted after writing my first article, the hints I wrote in the other articles would help me develop it when I start working on the new article later.
