Hive has been one of the best blockchains out there compared to similar rewarding blogging platforms. I know there are also a few more rewarding platforms like Publish0x, Read Cash, etc., I would say that Hive is great because we have a facility to power up and have a stake and use that to reward other users. This is something that is exclusive to Hive and the good thing about this is that it gives more than 12 % APR for doing so.
Even if we have had it as a stable coin and staked them somewhere in a centralized exchange, I doubt the interest returns would be more than 10% and some exchanges might provide 12% APR. But the good thing about Hive is that we can also engage in the form of blogging as well as curation and both are rewarding. This 12% is only for the curation part and if we also do blogging regularly, the income from that will also be a decent one.
If you look at the above screenshot, on average, I have been earning around 3 to 4$ per day from curation and blogging. This brings the revenue close to 100$ per month which is not bad at all. All the more, I don't have any big accounts voting me regularly or I don't have any whale friends either on Hive. If I can choose a specific niche and write on that regularly, the revenue from author rewards can be all the better. But mostly my articles are not specific to any niche. I write articles on random topics and mostly it is related to my account and growth of the account or finance-related in general.
I have a few friends who have invested in Hive. For now, they are just investors and have been enjoying only the curation rewards. I have also asked them to slowly get their hands on writing as well. If we calculate this correctly this 12 percent is not the only reward we would be getting. Especially considering the fact that Curation rewards are added as Hive Power directly, the rewards are compounded which means the 12 percent rewards gets added to the overall Hive power and keeps compounding.
In addition to the 12 percent reward as a curation reward, there is also a small 3% APR for our Hive power. It will also gradually keep increasing just for powering up Hive. So totally powering up Hive is highly rewarding compared to the other opportunities we have in this crypto world. I would say that HBD in savings is also a good rewarding model for a stable coin investment but if we are confident about Hive and if we are going to stay here for a longer period of time, I believe powering up the funds as Hive and using them for curation would be the best choice.
If we don't have time for doing manual curation, we also have tools like Hive.Vote that can help us in automating our votes. There is no harm in using this automated tool as long as we choose the right author or the right curation trail. I think without automation most people would easily waste their voting mana by not using it efficiently. There are also a few people who have their own automated voting system based on some criteria.
