Mole Miner - New and exciting updates making it more profitable and fun to play
Mole Miner is a brand new game on Hive that was launched about a week back. Many people have started playing the game. We were keeping the rewards low for a week to do a pilot run and see if everything was going well. Now that the game code is getting more stabilized and the tokenomics is also doing good, we have increased the rewards for the players. The rewards have been increased by 50 times for now. There are a few more updates planned but we are planning to release items one by one as and when it is ready. I also don't want to break the surprise by mentioning what those changes are. For now, the below announcement should tell about the new features released.
I don't want to repeat whatever was already said in the announcement. We have improved the game so much in the last week. We were able to fix some major bugs and improve the user experience. There are still a few more items on our list to be done to improve the user experience. We value the feedback provided by the users and only with that, we are able to work and enhance the game. Sometimes making the game a seamless experience is also in the hands of the players. They can share their feedback and based on that experience the game can be made better.
Some people asked if this would increase inflation. Yes, it would increase the inflation but as long as there are more players playing the game and burning MUT tokens, the inflation should be under control. The price of the MUT token is also doing good in the last few days in the market. One of the necessary policies we have in our game ecosystem is that we wouldn't be creating more tokens inside the game. Everything in the game would use MUT tokens and everything in the Muterra ecosystem would have MUT as the base token.
During our dev discussions, we have had several instances where the conversation would go in the direction where if we can create a new token it would be easy to handle the tokenomics. But so far, we were able to manage the supply with the current tokenomics and Mole Miner would be the first best sink for the token. There would be multiple games in the ecosystem and all these games would be using the MUT token as the base we would be introducing both supply and demand for the same and there will be more sinks in the near future.
It has been nearly a week and we have burned close to 8500 MUT tokens already. All the burned MUT tokens are sent to muterra-burn account and it would stay there. We did not want to send MUT directly to null because we might have a situation where we have to do some refunds and there can also be situations where we might have to control the number of tokens issued. So in such cases, we would be reusing the tokens from muterra-burn instead of minting new tokens. Anyways those are all for the future. Currently, this is going to be our Burn account. The price of MUT had been good in the last few days.
We are able to see a lot of players already purchasing a lot of MUT from the market and using that to upgrade their cards. The game is already fun to play. I personally have been playing this game since the launch and have been doing upgrades accordingly by spending a lot of MUT. The fun part is when we loot from someone.
As seen in the above image, @blackheart1 is having fun looting from @apprentice001. I don't think he would leave him alone either. People with more Mining Site capacity should be able to store more MUT in the mining site and if their fortification is not good enough, they have to lose their MUT to the other players. It is better to increase the fortification level. But yeah it is a strategy game and people should find what works for them and work out their strategy. There are going to be more perks for the players and also some new mechanics in the game in the future to make it even more interesting for the players.
