Floating Solar panels for remote places
Solar panels is going to rule the energy sector for some more years to come. It is one of the hottest technologies we have in the field of power generation. The cost of making a solar panel has reduced drastically in the last decade and that has improved the awareness and need for solar panels. This is going to be a great advantage in places where the regular power supply cannot happen. There are still villages in India that are yet to see power. I'm not sure about other countries but I know there are a few remote places all over the world that is yet to see power.
As we have so many water bodies in many places, using floating solar panels can be a good option there. Unless the water is flowing heavily the floating solar panels can be a great thing. One of the biggest advantages we get with floating solar panels is that they not only generate power but they also help in reducing water evaporation ultimately making the water last longer.
Adopting natural power generation methods
The future of energy generation should be through natural methods where we make use of natural things to generate energy and consume that energy so that we don't deplete or do destruction to get the raw materials for power generation. Many countries have started getting awareness on that and even coal mines are getting removed in many places making the world push towards clean power generation.
Scope of Floating Solar panels
It is not just the water bodies in between the landscape. The biggest scope is on the ocean. Many countries have been generating electricity through wind energy near the shore areas and floating solar panels near the shore areas.
One of the biggest advantages we have with this type of power generation is that we don't have to be dependent on land areas to do power generation. Usually, if we have to place solar panels, we have to either put them on a construction building or an already occupied ground area. But if we can place this on oceans or other water bodies, they act as a protection for them, and at the same time, they don't occupy the other productive landscapes.
Reduce water evaporation
Using solar panels on river bodies or on lakes is a good thing because they reduce water evaporation during the summer season when heat is at its peak. At the same time, they also promote the growth of vegetation below them where some water species can use them as a shelter to grow and flourish. One biggest challenge would be the clean the solar panels regularly to get high efficiency. This can be a challenging task.
Preventing evaporation on Sea can be a bad thing because to keep the climate intact the regular evaporation of water from oceans should happen. Then only we will be able to get proper rain. If a big landscape is covered with solar panels, that is also not good.
