Can microblogging be the next big thing for Hive?

Blogging was the initial feature on Hive and it is still one of the core features of Hive. Apart from Blogging, people are also exploring other opportunities Hive provides. Gaming is one of the biggest things on Hive ever since Hive became a platform with several capabilities. People have started building a lot of games on Hive and many investors are also willing to invest in such games and would like to make it fun and interesting.

When this keeps happening, there are still people who would like to bring other new opportunities to Hive. I still remember when the DeFi thing was very famous on BSC a couple of years back, people attempted to bring DeFi on Hive too. Even though the model had some issues, people attempted to make Hive a DeFi platform too. The Hive engine was very helpful in making that happen. But later when the trend was over, the focus was on something else.

Today there are also a group of people who admire the 20% APR that Hive offers for HBD in savings. People portray this to others and try to bring more investors to Hive. As many people say, Hive is still an undervalued cryptocurrency in the crypto world. The focus light is still not fully on Hive yet which is delayed a little bit but most of the investors think that Hive would at least pump to 10$ when the time is right.

I started having a thought that maybe microblogging is the next big thing on Hive or could be a great thing for Hive. We have so many communities on Hive and Discord groups. There is a common feeling that not all individuals have a good topic to write every single day. It is true but people engage a lot in writing comments and engaging with the community in the form of comments.

After Leothreads came into existence, people are so involved in creating short content and engaging more with others. This can create a new trend in Hive. People might start inclining more towards microblogging instead of regular blogging which requires lots of effort and thought process. This way people can share what is in their mind every single day if they are rewarded well.

Creating rewards and distributing rewards can be one of the challenging things. When developers wanted to build a microblogging platform out of Steem Hive back then, the only drawback was the rewarding part. Those days, there was no Hive Engine and no tokenizing capability. Just because we have this facility today, it is definitely possible to have a microblogging platform for each of the communities. In one way the expansion happens in the form of Hive games and in another way, this becomes a cool microblogging platform.

Leofinance is definitely leading the way right now. I know there have been other microblogging platforms on Hive like DBuzz etc but Leofinance did make a huge difference in increasing engagement in the form of short blogs. There is also an active proposal right now to make the source code of DBuzz open-source. Would there be people to make use of that code and build awesome micro-blogging platforms on Hive with different themes? This is an opportunity some devs can pick up and start working.
