Let it beb2021 be the year when humanity will "end its war against nature"

Due to heating, the plants dry out, and many species disappear or look for a better environment. Every summer, the lotus blooms along the Volga Delta in Russia. In the Astrakhan Nature Reserve, the lotus is food for many animals. The reserve was formed in 1919. Today it spreads over thousands of hectares. However, the "Caspian lotus" is entered in the book of endangered species of Russia.

It may seem incredible that such an exotic plant, which usually grows in tropical countries, grows in Russia. Moreover, Russia has the largest lotus field on the planet. It is located in the Astrakhan region in the delta of the Volga River, where the river separates into many canals and branches and flows into the Caspian Sea. Lotus plays an important role in human life. In traditional Tibetan, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic medicine medicines are made from parts of a plant (seeds, buds, pot, petals, stem, leaves, roots, pests).

Also, this plant is a valuable dietary and food product. Eat fruits and roots. In China, Japan and India, starch, flour, sugar and even butter are made from seeds and rhizomes.

It is believed that the lotus can clean the space around it from negative vibrations. Therefore, the plant can be grown at home.

Crocus, a purple flower, grows in Himalayan Kashmir, from which saffron is made. Its growth requires warm summers and cold, humid winters, and is harvested only two weeks from late October to mid-November.

Thousands of flowers produce only a few grams of saffron, and a kilogram of spices requires 150,000 flowers. Due to climate change and pollution, its cultivation has been called into question and production is declining, which will jeopardize the source of income of many families in Kashmir.

The reason for the decline in production is climate change, drought-like conditions and pollution from factories in neighboring villages. Worldwide, saffron is used in the manufacture of medicines, cosmetics and in the diet. A kilo of saffron costs between $ 3,000 and $ 4,000

Climate conditions on the planet are changing faster than natural and many species are difficult to adapt to. However, when it comes to climate change, most attention is paid to the consequences they have on people - quality of life and health, but also the consequences they leave on property and the economy.

The saddest part about this is that most people don't really care. Nature has a lot of beautiful life in it and it's extremely sad to think that one day they'll just disappear because no one cared enough...
