My husband and I have a habit of making our day once a month. It is a day when we are completely alone, when we leave all obligations, all worries, all family members, friends. Then we are out of the house, somewhere in nature, or somewhere we wander, we go to the cinema or some concert.
We all know that it is a pandemic, that we need to be careful, we think about our health, both physically and mentally. We decided to spend this day walking through our neighborhood where we live.
Foggy, cold day. The streets are deserted.
It is a very nice settlement, nice to live in and there is no big crowd. Very nice area with many parks for children and dogs. We spent two hours walking the empty streets.
When the weather is nice, and when there is no Covid, the park is full of children. This settlement is large and has about 70,000 inhabitants.
We walked, kept silent, thought ... We are sorry that it is so desolate. We think and talk about how Covid disturbed us all. People die, lose their jobs, get depressed ...
We slow down, we think. We talk about everything. We distinguish between the necessary, the useful and the wasteful. If it weren't for this situation, I would probably go to a restaurant for dinner ... but we realized that two hours of walking, two hours just for us, has the same value, maybe more than an expensive destination.
Man can find happiness in everything that surrounds him, happiness is all around us, it is only up to us to welcome it. Happiness is not in big and expensive rags, in money and payment cards, happiness is made up of small, ordinary, everyday things. Our environment, our family, our friends. The moments we share with them, we spend time walking with a loved one.
It is very healthy what they do. Spending quality moments is highly enriching for a couple. I wish you many more quality times in your lives in the months to come.
